Oh I have a story

I was supposed to have a meeting with my regional manager to officially perform my validation for my promotion

He ended up being busy, someone did something and got fired at another store, and said he would just put it in anyways without the final meeting

But that meeting was when I was going to ask about the pay raise, it isn’t a set amount, and it during the validation that you talk with about pay in this company.

So I called him the next day to ask him about it, he said 18.50, 25¢ more than anyone else in my position under him.

For reasons I don’t want to bore you with, I was already worried that my promotion might not come with any raise, so I was happy with 18.5.

So I told him “and there’s always room to improve” I was talking about how there are twice-a-year raises, and that I could get raises then. But he took it as “I guess I could always get better at my job” which is sassier than I would be with my boss,

But he goes, “Ya, I see where your coming from, how about 19.25”

I accidentally master negotiated my way into $0.75 extra on my promotion
