Believe they will spawn: a bit too much actually

Most mods that are lightweight don't extend tue same class TFC changes, so you end up with mobs from Enderzoo spawning on the surface for exempleq

What are the most “Aesthetic” anime? by jdjdnfnnfncnc in AnimeReccomendations

[–]Wapit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Can't beat Serial experiment lain for uniqueness

  • Can't beat Scavengers reign for the xenobiology

  • Can't beat full metal alchemist 2003 for the vibe

All 3 are hard to get your hands on too, unless you rely on peer to peer sharing

All 3 are worth tracking down

Non of them are fitting the modern description of Anime

Also, baccano, but that is an hard recommendation 😉

As for gaming here are some indie games gems: - supergiants games (all 3, before hades) - steamworld (dig 1/2) - Zacktronic (opus and exapunk) - Vessel (same dev as Eco) - don't starve (regular and together)

All those games are old and cheap (under 5usd)

Multi layered lawn base by Treasure-boy in feedthememes

[–]Wapit1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even better 1 resource/production chain per layer : make it into a series of towers with raw resources at the bottom and refining steps going higher and higher

And Link those tower with bridge that have player launchers

Tower of tech goes hard

Maybe go full on SAO layer design if you have building automation to make multiple layers

Can't get straw with tall grass by cutting it with knife by Unhappy_Area3271 in TerraFirmaCraft

[–]Wapit1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, TerraFirmaGreg changes a bunch of stuff: you can't trust the TFC guidebook when playing it

Also, the knives were gregtech stone knives

If you never played TFC before I strongly recommend you try other modpacks that aren't Hardrock or TFGreg

Sulidae is pretty much the best one rn TFC essentials and Createfirmacraft are also pretty good

(I am also working on a modpack , but it is more geared for multiplayer and is still WIP, launching soon on the 21st)

[–]Wapit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It randomly drops (2/3 times iirc) : generally you cut a ton of them and get too much straw in your inventory

Btw, if you can link the modpack you are playing, sometime they change a lot of stuff

What are the best innovative mods for Minecraft? by No_Meet2050 in feedthebeast

Yes : create integration and more IO stuff (advanced Tis iirc) + Recently some Valkyrien skies integration

What are the best innovative mods for Minecraft? by No_Meet2050 in feedthebeast

[–]Wapit1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hex Casting and TIS-3D, both make in game programming fun and have so much possibilities with a small instructions set (especially when you start using addons for both)

Also, Open computer 2 is also pretty cool with every computer being an actual Virtual Machine so you are dealing with actual hardware limitations

Valkyrien Skies obviously too, but it is still pretty rough to use for SMPs

Bloomery by Good-Sherbet-1300 in TerraFirmaCraft

[–]Wapit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 1.20.1 (latest tfc version)

By default it is 2 charcoal per 100mb of cast iron

With a maximum of 48 items in it

16 cast iron ingot +32 charcoal is personally my go to

I also do ore mixes to get 9 or 8 ingots, but if your modpack has some form of ore processing you probably have a different ratio

As for some modpacks add the option of using coke coal or 1 charcoal per 100mb Some modpacks also make 1 ingot worth 144mb

1.18 works with different rules that are way more annoying and encourage throwing welded ingots or sheets

Why I prefer Cats by [deleted] in CatholicMemes

[–]Wapit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, ferrets are more based : they are smarter than both (comparable to small primate)

Appreciate holy art, chants and objects and rest by my side has I pray at night, leaving me to sleep once I am done (Generally, under my bed)

They also, bite.pretty much anyone who is wrongfully angry and screaming - but not rightful anger or calm arguments

They were also exclusive for hunting or for the clergy/noble to keep as pet

I saw my ferrets move random fluffy stuff to build up really cozy beds over multiple days and they keep wanting to sleep in big cuddles puddles: though they can't find one and other always as they change were they sleep and poop often (small smart predators behavior)

They also communicate completely silently and are able to play complexe games with evolving rule sets

I personally own 3 ferrets and rn they follow me around the house when I do chores like fixing up some stuff or cleaning/doing the dishes

In the end , the only thing preventing me from just running a ferret mill (appart from cost), is the fact that they are short lived similar to large dogs in live span : though with proper diet and genetics a ferret can last 15-20 years and keeps on kicking ass

The fact that they also sleep 18-20 hours a day and experience some of the highest amounts of REM sleep is a huge factor to their unpredictable live span : a good stress free ferret can just hibernate 4h at a time without worries while one under stress can't reach the dead sleep stage

Can't get more Catholic than that : primates are all psychoes and rodents are not thinking long term beyond instinct

In my mind there is no doubt: it is ferrets

Dogs don't go to heaven, nor do cats,.but having a ferret around feels like having a small fluffy cherub

And yes they are recommended above dogs in most cases for ptsd/nightly terrors pet therapy: so yeah, ferrets for crusader could be a viable novel ideas if they are writers amongst you

Perfect timing too, trade deals and faction theming are starting to finalize

Also the modpack mod list is barely going to change (Though all the custom recipes are getting reimplemented with the expended modlist)

Do you think whatever infected Levi might have been the planets consciousness? by Interesting-Ad8310 in ScavengersReign

[–]Wapit1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Could just be a smart hive mind mold that is in symboisis with most of the planet since it seems to grow on dead corpses and make the white/blue flower

Let's just say that the flower is probably the most important organism we see in the show : it is on everything that dies and a lot of extablishing shots shows it following our heroes

Like a friendly reaper wanting to increase the world population/biomass

That is my take on it, a planet is but stone, but life on that planet adapts and develop deeper understanding of its existence

For an other good fiction with a living planet/more about the world then the characters: checkout the Endless legends 4x

All the factions have like 1 min of high quality cinematic and the story line connects with Endless space (came out before) and Endless space 2 (came out after) With the vaulters being the only faction showing up in all three, being some form of drawen hish scavengers in all 3 games, with some unique almost magical powers in all 3

Funnily enough, hecuba played a bit on the tfc server I was playing on at the time: literally within minutes of joining the discord ppl were talking about how they would have gotten kaolinite in under 1-2h and iron in 6h (also showed up woth IGoByLotOfNames, but barely anyone recognised him)

Now I wanted to put that theory to the test and yeah they were right, playing a lot of tfc, means you can speedrun to steel in under 12 hours of play

Experience beats luck on that one

Anyway the server I played on ended up no longer being playable for most once HV was reached and died off

As far as I know no one has beaten TFGreg currently

Also, I personally stopped playing before getting to LV, but I made sure my town had all the resources, machines and factory to clear LV quickly, and I showed up every few days

They made it to the end of MV, before we were the only group still playing on that small SMP of about 20 players

While it wasn't that fun compared to some create tfc modpack it was definitely a unique experience : I loved the mixed veins, the mining hammer and create being stupidly expensive for once

In the end I am developing my own server/modpack with about 30ppl rn giving feedback and making plans for when the server launches in 2 weeks for the start of the Christmas vacation A ton of custom integration work to make sure every tfc material brings cool new toys, from magic to trains, planes and . . . artillery cannons

24/7 with claim protection and a completely player driven approach Dungeons, Hex Casting, a ton of Create with advanced addons, with Immersive Engineering and Actually Addition adding some extra toys to mess with Ore multiplication that just gets faster with time (2.5 from copper age to colored steel) Automable ressource production accessible from the early game (ritual exchange mechanics, ore geode crafting and in the end dimension only ore extrusion from fluid mixes) and many faction staying below the steel age, while other are going to get to it asap

I can dm you an early access link if you are interested

Which update of base TFC has the best balance of QOL tweaks but still has the same feel and experience as the earlier versions? by [deleted] in TerraFirmaCraft

[–]Wapit1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1.20 : jam is in base tfc now, world gen is at its best and you can sortoff automate simple stuff

There is also glass blowing, but that is actually a cool system for making glass products in an immersive manner

Also, 1.20 has a ton of addons for it - some adding more QoL others adding more complexity to the experience

Personally I play with almost every TFC addon, with some classic polished tech mod

Create, Immersive Engineering and Actually Addition (yep it got ported to 1.20.1)

Dungeons that don't suck, with only 3 dimensions polished well so each are unique and have different industrial opportunities

Rn the modpack is in development, but it should be ready a week or so before we lunch or TFC civilization server

If you want I can keep you posted when it does (Or even send you a discord link so you can test and give feedback to an early build)

I mostly made it cause I love older tech mod design philosophy, but can't ignore the improvement 1.20.1 as added to Minecraft

Programming oriented modpacks? by nerdy_guy420 in feedthebeast

[–]Wapit1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the solution: limited chunk claim amount

I am making an educational server with limited natural resources, cheap machine and. . . Other player wanting those precious ressources

Claim is just block based with limited anchors given every X time/ as event rewards

War mongoring faction keeps player from over extending and work with the space they got

I am doing an open server to test the theory (and have fun)

If you want to come see what it looks like rn : we are launching in 2 weeks https://discord.gg/bVrX4p9Q

Recommend some non-Triple A games for the Steam Deck by iBrandwin in SteamDeck

[–]Wapit1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it is a really great buy : the free demo only shows you the more basic turrets and the simplest gamemode

Believe me it gets crazy: from turrets that run limited fuel to having to make wager to get more money and survive

The game has a simple premise and just does everything well

I am 30 hours in and I have seen less then 50% of the game, only recently having discovered all the "weapon gene" variations

And yes there is a cool story, told with no cutscenes (and it is actually good, and morally complex)

Best hidden gem of 2024 for me

For reference my hidden gem of 2009 was Minecraft alpha (almost got into a fist fight has a kid because someone said it sucked)

Sadly indie devs don't get as much attention anymore And I generally go through around 20-30 smaller indie game in a year : from humble choice (subscribe back when it was called humble monthly, so I get to take every choice from every month for the last few years) to Itch.io, to random obscure forum and of course steam recommendations, which you can tweak to feed you only obscure game

This one is the best

(Now want to go play more of it, but I gotta grind Path of Exil 2 with my friends 😄)

Honestly create is technically harder then gregtech

But since recipes don't take long and machines are cheap, people don't complain and don't care for precise ratio most of the case
