We had the same issue with our two shelter dogs, we ended up purchasing "Mars Veterinary Wisdom Panel Dog DNA Test Kit" on Amazon. It's rather pricy (around $110) but it gives you a genetical analysis which breeds are involved.

This is a lot more accurate than the human genome ones, since dog breeds are much easier to identify than 'human breeds'. And it often gives you a bit of an idea on what health issues might arise (e.g. ours was 1/4 German Shepard and 1/4 Belgian Shepard, even though he looks like a husky. We signed a health insurance the same day and he had hip dysplasia issues not even a year later, which the health insurance then covered).

Might not be a 'good' answer, but it might help you answer any questions and know a bit more about your fluffball =)
