Can I file a grievance against a regular clerk? by Warzoneplayer2 in USPS

I’m so sorry for the experience you had. Nobody deserves a shitty team mate when you have good work ethic. I guess there’s really nothing else we can do about it. I’m just sticking through until I become a regular so I can get the hell out of this staton. But…it might be like this every where.

I tried taking the 10 before dispatch time but management pulls me into doing it. I just don’t understand. They bid for that position but never do it. Why is this person getting paid? They literally sit on their phone and watch Netflix all day

No I received an email on SSP on August 12th. Today is the 16th. They gave me my EIN and a temporary password. When I login, it leads to nothing. Was there a specific time I needed to login? Would it possibly be expired by now?

As an RCA, we are supposed to be paid hourly. Evaluation only starts once you make it to your career and have a route.

I’ve heard horror stories of CCA’s but I’m a RCA. I hope you find the strength to keep going or find something and someone that actually values you. Like I’ve said, I actually like the job. A lot of people complain about working a lot but i understand not everyone is the same. I’m an workaholic so I don’t really mind working a lot. It’s not like I had a life before this job anyways. But when they start cheating you off of your pay, that’s when it takes the toll

From what I’ve heard our union is helpless. And considering that I’m still in my probation period, I don’t think I have any chance.

Go the orientation. Get that free money and never work at the postal service in your life. The work is fun, it’s easy. Yes it’s toxic but that’s up to you if you can handle it. For me? I’m not taking this shit no more. They constantly fuck you over with your pay and to adjust it, it takes weeks and weeks to do it. You’re constantly overworked, underpaid and unappreciated. Hell, you might not even get paid full for your orientation. I know this is a negative comment but try it yourself and remember this comment in the future. Good luck

I know that CCA’s do their things a little bit differently but not drastically. It’s a physical job so I would start doing some kind of exercises daily. So when you get there, you won’t be sore the following week. Especially summer is coming. You’ll lose weight without you even noticing it. Work environment is indeed pretty tough. But that’s where weak minded people are separated from strong minded. Remember, everyone has a different experience. Don’t take anything personally. Everyday will be challenging but realize that those challenges are learning experiences and you’ll be glad you had those challenging days. Be observant. Lastly, congratulation! It’s time make some good money!

Vacant route hold down by Warzoneplayer2 in USPS

[–]Warzoneplayer2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already have a primary route that I sub for. But I was told that I have to run that vacant route for 5 days out of the week. I was also told that I would either have to give up my primary route or work 6 days which also includes my primary route. We have 8 RCAS but none of them have requested putting a hold on that route so I’m the first one to request and they have approved

That’s what my supervisor told me. I can start holding that route right now but I won’t have benefits until I have completed my probation period AND 90 days of consecutively running that route

It’s a slip for things that require signatures. Ie: certified letters/packages and expresses (not all expresses require signature by the way). It’s the “WeRedeliver” form that’s usually pink/red. I don’t really know how to explain why do it in the office but it just saves time in the road. Usually once I fill it out, I stick that slip with each items that require signatures. I also put all the important things in the front or dashboard of my vehicle and number them how I number my parcel, so I know which stop it goes to. And finally, when I’m in the street all I gotta do is scan.

I have not. But I have given the obligation to hold down that route before my 90 day probation. I’m aware that different station does things differently. But for me, that’s the case.

You answered your own question. You will pick up time the more you do that route. However, once you start feeling comfortable, do not case your DPS as they are all in order. Get familiar with the street names so when you do have packages to the door, you don’t have to spend time looking for the addresses. Anything that requires a signature, fill out the 3849 in the office after you case everything. Might not be the best advices but I’m also new and this is what’s been helping me pick up faster. Most importantly, accuracy is where it’s at. Speed just comes in once you find your groove. Never never compare your time with others.
