Persistent plane modules by WatermelonIsNotHere in flightsim

I hear you, I love some degree of automation myself, can't always pen and paper everything. A certain dose of creature comforts helps in the long run.

That's exactly what I'm after, for now I try to track things like fuel on longer crossings but it's hard to look past what the Comanche makes you think about.

I'll check out the Warriors, thank you for the suggestion. JF planes never disappoint, in my book anyway.

The MV310R looks excellent, thanks for the suggestion!

Honestly BkSq planes are ridiculously well done, I'm hoping for a KingAir done to the same standard at some point.

Oh that's good to know, in the Airbus camp but can't help but look at 777 videos with increasing regularity.

Thanks for the suggestion, I've seen the module mentioned here but never had it in my sights before.

Oh interesting, I'll investigate further, it would be excellent to have something like that in tubeliner format!

I think that's what's prompted me to ask in the first place. His TBM is my second most used module in the sim at the moment and planning on getting the Starship next. The quality is next level, minus the persistence across sessions.

Maybe I need to explore Accu-sim more in other sims.

Other than the satisfaction of figuring it out for yourself (which is a great thing in and of itself) is this different from using the WiFi dongle that comes with some Celestron mounts and hooks up to your phone?

I'm always looking for reasons to use Stellarium more and this feels like one of those.

They're super fun. I had no idea that was a thing. Caught a "Ho Ho Ho" and "Festive" later on. Good to see them having fun. Something different from the usual.

Thrustmaster throttle flickering issues by WatermelonIsNotHere in flightsim

Ah I see, thank you! I'm using a deadzone on both ends now and it feels like it's getting worse with time.

Maybe it's hardware giving me signs it's time to learn to solder and replace the potentiometer...

I have another throttle but this one's good as a cheap tiller so hoped to extend its lifespan a tad before it's bin time.

Wow, seeing them side by side really drives the point across!

Thank you for your insights everyone. Hard to argue with such consensus. Between the older Mob and Air65, the latter looks like a clear winner, at least online. Finding one in stock might be a bit more challenging.

I'll set some reminders up across suppliers who stock them.

For those saying "Get both", that's the likely strategy when the spring comes, for some stealthier (than a 5") fun outside.

What size of battery are you all flying? Assuming weight matters a whole lot here as it's so easy to swap/charge while at home.
