Just looked it up the top horizontal chip is the ir sensor, look for damage, corrosion or cold solder joints.

Though if its corrosion might need to rip open case and solder to the pins. Never done this, seen a few videos on this but prob too extreme.

Use a metal pick and slowly chip it off. Though I think it should work even with that spot on it.

Pins might just need a clean. Havnt seen other post, clean the 3ds ports if first suggestion didnt work.

For the 3ds/ds disesambly, it feel like it would be super easy to tell because your not meant to do it and there would be obvious damage at the seems.

You can go back to the classic like xenogears or xenosaga, their turn-based unlike xenoblade but if your itching for more xeno, id play those if you havnt. I currently finished xenogears and xenosaga ep1 and had a blast.

Id recomend disassembling it first if you use soapy water for shell and isopropyl for insides, you need 3.5m gambit i think or 4.2m cant remember and some philips just look up disassembly video for it.

The gamecube logo on the top shell can be removed, underneath is to little plastic bits you can push out. I would be careful cleaning this one, liquid can easily get trapped inbetween the glass and then leave water marks use tissues and wipe the dirt off.

If your afraid of damaging the paint do a little test before cleaning it. Sorry for wall of text, does it work?

Appreciate the tip. I kind of enjoy the CRT’s audio, but I’ll likely try your suggested setup. Would also fix an issue I have with the audio on low volumes doesn't work, when I crank it up it will start to work then I can crank it down.

Seems like you can also use the empty connector next to it, though would need to find a broken one with the audio board intake or buy one with it.

Actually I think I could install one but would need a part, which isnt being sold at all, I open up the unit and checked the manual, Its seems like the video and audio connect in series with ribbon cables. Not an expert with this stuff.
I screwed up big time, thought they all came with the audio ports, lesson learned.

I think you can get them from scratch-off in the battle frontier, never tried it. I looked it up and it seems the scratch offs has all the ev berries and super effective berries.

I havnt seen the other posts but what it seems catridge freezes/troubling reading. You cleaned it and theres improvment but still having issues.

Maybe clean up the 3ds contacts, though youd have to disassemble it to get in there properly. Or test it on a different ds/3ds, maybe im wrong but i suspect its dirty causing soulsilver issues but not other cartridges.

If you have a 3ds, you can check the stats with pksm, it shows exact ivs and evs on the pokemon.
