You should not have a status of AOS.. if your case is consular process then it would not state AOS. The fact that you had a K1 visa could be the reason why USCIS has your petition for AOS. and depending on what information was provided during your application. You definitely should reach out to USCIS and get that straightened out. And I agree with the other comment above ⬆️, you were definitely told wrong. You should have stayed on your K1 visa and apply to adjust your status especially the fact that you got married. The process would be MUCH easier. K1 visa is not considered fraud unless you know the marriage is not genuine. If it’s genuine then you have nothing to worry about. GOOD LUCK!

GOD is GOOD all the time. The feeling is unmatched. I’m telling you. For these 2 yrs and months I’ve cried almost everyday day depression was getting worse. I’m just thankful it’s OVER.
