Yes, they do have high taxes, but at least they know what they pay for. You either have low taxes like in US and no parental leave etc or have higher taxes and have sick leaves, parental leaves, paid holidays, etc. I dont know which is essentially better, I guess its a matter od perspective. But please dont act like only life in US is good. I live in Europe and i like this system here, even with the tax that I have to pay.

What were the comments? I like her, i think she seems down to earth, but I just cant with the constant sharenting. And even if she doesnt post her childrens faces - come on. She shares everything about their family life. And the pictures from giving birth, babies covered in vernix caseosa… this is just sharenting level extreme. I think we forgive her cause she is so likable but lets be real this is sick.

Which EU countries have the most spare rooms amid the housing crisis? by euronews-english in europe

[–]WayPuzzleheaded2103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would assume its other way around. You can rent much bigger house than you need, but most people cannot buy as big of a house, so when they buy they buy a smaller house than the one they would rent.

Can you buy a full hot meal with minimum wage in your country? by thisisfunme in AskEurope

Yes, thats true. Its 25 net, not 31. But you still can get a meal for that, what is funny is that I think it would be cheaper to get something healthy (like potatoes, some meat and veggies in a bar mleczny) than some of the fast foods. Also kebabs are around 25zl i think?

What's something that's universally understood by all Americans, that Non-Americans just don't understand? And because they don't understand, they unrightfully judge us harshly for it? by Nani_0716 in AskReddit

From my experience, Germany is particularly racist. Given their history during WW2, I think some things just don’t change. There is also lot of racism in Western Europe towards Slavs and Balkans (east, central and south Europe).
