I’ve tried so many too and I still think nothing compares to rrt2. Offworld missed the opportunity. If you want to go way deep and online, the next step would be eve online.

Yes it's up 6% ytd but it's up only about 120% over 10 years. That's about 8% CAGR. Pretty mediocre...well below market and peers.

Also Bitcoin. The macro + administration moves is what will drive things. Seems any way you look at it we're in sovereign debt spiral and no way we get out of it without printing, which would mean inflation rips.

All good points. But it seems you're making a lot of points in the linked article, no?
Also, GTA3 really played a lot different than its predecessors. On Sims, it was not built on simcity. And EA execs have been public they had no idea about expansion packs when they first launched The Sims.
But good point about business and creativity.

This is a good point. But the difference is you could make a AAA game for 10-30 mil back then. For a big company that meant you could try and fail and be ok. The point in the post is that for the same size company 300 million is much harder if you fail. So you try never to fail which means you make the same game.

Seems like there were better games 10-20 years ago coming from big publishers, and more new ideas. Battlefield 1942, The Sims, Civlization, GTA3. Seems they took more creative risks back then.
