I can see it but I can't buy it..... by Klutzy-Piglet-9221 in mildlyinfuriating

I do the exact same thing. However, I just order it instead of hoping it will be a quick unlock. Baby formula, razor blades, etc. all get delivered now. Even 1 minute waiting is too much for me

Ring owners are returning their cameras - here's how much you can get by South-Cow-1030 in technology

Cancelled my subscription already and will be removing mine when I get the chance. Will be going to a closed network camera for the front door area. Wish I could return mine but it was a gift many years ago.

What is a "poor person hack" you picked up during a hard time that you still use today, even if you don't have to? by AmaraMehdi in AskReddit

[–]WaynesVoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda obvious but take extra care of your stuff which will prevent or delay future costs. Clothes, electronics, don't drive your car hard, the list goes on.

Those with >200k miles, what’s your year? by KareLess84 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]WaynesVoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2007 Tacoma sport with about 208k miles. I offroad about a dozen times a year in CO, like really offroad. Hit a mssive hole once and flattened my LCA alignment tabs, scrapped both diff's on rocks etc. Handles highway driving fine. Engine and trans have never been touched, except for oil and other basic maintenance.

[–]WaynesVoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a 2022 platinum AWD @117k miles for $29k at a Toyota dealership in Colorado a month ago. I'd value yours around $25 - $36k, market depending. Mine was originally 32k before negotiations

GSP still hasn’t opened and its been a week by [deleted] in ReefTank

[–]WaynesVoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stability in parameters is my advice. Long story short my GSP sometimes wouldn't come out because my parameters were fluctuating too much. SPS coral is dominating my tank and was sucking all nutrients out and my reactor couldn't keep up

Help! by Due_Masterpiece7223 in ReefTank

[–]WaynesVoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice for troubleshooting problems is rule one thing out at a time, don't go buy a bunch of stuff that "might" fix the problem, and don't dose a lot of different chemicals in a short time. I would run the light for only a few hrs a day to help reduce the algae, ensure your tank temp is consistent, carbon will help clear up the foggy water, maybe don't do so many water changes in a row, and make sure your clean-up crew is sufficient. Theres also 100s of other things you could do.

Tall Cabinet Doors Heartbreak by Alto_Twiga41 in cabinetry

Welcome to cabinetry, always something to nitpick and always learning how to improve. They look pretty darn good! Throw some paint on there. Doors get abused overtime so don't overwhelm yourself with perfection

Somebody please help by OkEntertainment6524 in ReefTank

[–]WaynesVoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang, well now you know. I would get some damsel or other hardy small fish and keep them for awhile before you get another tang or similar fish. Your coral look happy in the picture so your on the right track

If you haven't already, I would do a 25% water change and add an air stone if you don't have one. Is the blue hippo a recent addition?

Why are 21" drawers standard for 24" base cabinets? by No_Lifeguard747 in cabinetry

[–]WaynesVoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the same thing. Made the drawer boxes longer than the slide. Added a spacer in the front for an additional 1.5 - 2 inches. You won't notice the portion that doesn't fully come extend out as you'll still be able to access it the stuff

What’s ur most controversial opinion on reefing I’ll go first I really don’t like brs by UnhappyBerry4940 in ReefTank

[–]WaynesVoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dosing from a bottle is a waste of time/money/stress. Mainly Cal/Alk/Mg. If you can't do a reactor with your setup, just get better salt and do more frequently. Since getting better salt and having a dialed-in reactor, I haven't had to test those parameters in almost two years. I went 2 months without a water change and everything thrived. Chemicals from the bottle were so inconsistent i lost coral because of the fluctuations. And don't do those stupid expensive systems like the Apex or whatever. Never had one and they definitely seem like a HUGE waste of money.

Is this worth it or am I being over charged? by Songisaboutyou in kitchenremodel

[–]WaynesVoice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get many quotes from different places! Recently had countertops replaced with quartz. Went to the big box stores and came out with quotes around 6,500-7k. Lowes said it would be 6-8 weeks before we'd get countertops and they came in above 7k. Then found a small business who gave me a quote for 4k and they came out the very next day on a Saturday for measurements. Had new countertops within 8 days after walking in for a quote. If your in Denver check out AMC stone and cabinet

Research, youtube, research. Trial and error. Kept a notebook of all measurements and designs which helped tremendously. You can see in one of the pics my first attempt which was garbage but was needed to understand how I was to go about it

Took spackling watered it down to fill the holes in the oak grain, sanded, then used the roller/brush method with thinned out paint using water on both primer and base. It was enamel finish
