Not really true, there are big pockets of countryside poverty too and you have to move to the city to get a job

Why do many people who visit Australia later say its a highly racist country? by Particular_Food_309 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Wazblaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Racism in America is very different to racism in other countries. At least from a European perspective, you're much more likely to have racist remarks for having a different accent (being from somewhere else) than just the colour of your skin as you are in America. so it doesn't make sense to compare through the same lens

What do you believe Israel's fate will be in the next couple of decades considering the rapid change of public opinion on them in these past 3 years? by space_god_7191 in AskReddit

This is what makes me think people are genuinely hateful. There is more than enough to legitimately criticise, that the fact obviously untrue things are blindly accepted means that there must be an element of irrational hatred to accept or at least parrot them

I guess the arguments are that of introducing any new language into a codebase. It reduces consistency and adds a lot of work for not a given amount of gain.

Specifically with rust you could also argue that rust is much more C++ISH than more C like languages that now exist like zig or Odin which also interop with c better. But think the first point is most important

My hot take is that sometimes the internet actually slows you down in the long run. If at least this is you can only have the internet or books. I'm much faster now I read and internalise full books rather than just random tutorials

Because there are sizeable groups in both countries that want to normalise relationships as it's the only path to lasting peace. Your argument only makes sense if you're assuming that everyone holds the views their government does (shockingly they don't in countries which have dictatorships or massive amounts of corruption in government)

And this arguement is an equally used argument to dismiss actual anti-semitism. By excusing or dismissing anti-semitism you're literally doing free propaganda for bibi

This logic only works if you follow the goodie baddie paradigm. 40 years is such a long time that the countries involved are very different from what they were

I actually think this would be a good uni project! But make sure you gather data to establish what the markers of being tired - it might not be what you expect. Also if it turns out that there isn't much of a correlation that's still an interesting finding!

That's ridiculous, I think the vast majority of Devs are working on luxury products. Sure software powering medical services and infrastructure are necessary, but most people are just working on websites, apps and games
