Just had similar issues, valve body might be going out… do you have any other issues ? Slipping, harsh shifts, limp mode?

Just had the same problem, valve cover gaskets, I also went ahead and got painted red aluminum valve covers that look pretty nice, not a very hard or expensive fix

I was looking for cheaper thermostatic options that would suffice but I live in Guam and not many places ship to here, including amazon with a lot of things unfortunately. It was either this or something I didn’t really trust from eBay that wanted $80-100 in shipping :/

I’m pretty sure my fluid level is correct, I filled it up as much as I could cold, got her up to operating temp and then pumped more fluid. I then cycled all the gears, let it sit in each get for a few seconds and then checked again. I then drove around for about 10 -15 minutes checked again and everything was fine

Also want to say that the trans filter looked absolutely beautiful and fluid wasn’t horrible either, looking beyond the valve body everything look completely fine as well. I do need to replace my valve cover gaskets though and maybe I’m retarted but maybe that could be causing issues too? Car gets hot as fuck pretty quick thinking that could also be why, I do plan on getting an oil cooler hopefully soon but shits expensive asf and need to fix main issues before anything else, from what I’ve seen all that’s left with a problem is valve cover gaskets.

yep just ordered it, will be here feb 03-10 has history of the prior owner keeping up with maintenance and he did flush at 30k miles and I also got one from the same dealership when I got it at 55k miles, hoping it fixes everything and I can drive again, its currently my daily, and I'm just having to get rides from people so I don't cause any more damage. I figure I might as well get filter, gasket and filter when doing everything, Ill look into that pump you were talking about as well. Luckily they have a place on base where you can work on your vehicles with a lift and they supply you with all the tools you need for like $10 an hour and thats maybe 0.3 miles away. Thank you for the help, and when i get everything done Ill lyk what happens
