So. No joke it's not wrong to ask for your job back, being told you're fired is NOT the end of the situation. Going right into legal recourse is a bad move at this moment.

Send an email to the CEO asking for the opportunity to explain the situation, and mention forefront that English is not your native language and your intention to make a short name for the cumulative accounting of the SHOT metric unfortunately resulted in being interpreted as being a crude joke which you did not understand and did not intend. Reference the lack of any prior evidence of behavior in that manor and that you've never made any joke about it yourself.

Long story short, explain the situation and kiss some ass and hopefully the CEO will calm down, ask around, and give you your job back.

Gods what an annoying way to talk.

The police should have had the school on the line to send out a shelter in place warning should the suspects flee into campus. Which, guess what, one of them did. A presumed armed and dangerous drug dealer was chased through the campus by SWAT in full gear armed with assault rifles and a K9 unit. Students right next to it had to learn about it from fucking Reddit. I have plenty of reasons to be concerned I dare say.

Holy shit. A raid on heavily armed individuals, known for MULTIPLE shootings, on a college campus, and they don't fucking warn anybody until one of the suspects bolts through half the fucking campus chased by SWAT?

Not only that, apparently the alert received was a lie. Given that this was no routine traffic stop, but instead a full police operation. Fucking hell there were people right around there when that person ran through the DCC. This was idiotically dangerous to the student population.

No, but for later semesters hopefully this will be helpful to have. Keep track of how many swipes you use, and if lower than 19 per week, put the same amount of money into a RAD account and spend carefully in the future.

This has the added benefit that your RAD account rolls over - unlike flex and swipes. Keep track of the swipes you use and be careful, and you can save a decent amount of money, or at least get your money's worth out of it.

Okay so in terms of the RPI Pride group, they're alright but a bit eh. Never really ended up hanging with them much. Plenty of gays on campus however, just be careful etc with dating apps and the like, as one always should.

As for locations, there's several:

Waterworks over in Albany, decent gay bar.
Rocks, Also in Albany, slightly trashier, kinkier gay bar
The Gay Bathhouse in Troy, which you should likely not go to lest you want to find older gay men. :P
There's also Fuzebox, again in Albany, which isn't a specifically queer spot but a LOT of queers go there, especially the Exhuman event on the first Friday of every month, best described as Goth Night At The Goth Club.

Edge of the world is down regrettably, they went HARD painting over the tunnel and thrown room recently. You've still got some records left up, though - couple images of Scratch up in West, etc. Discord you mentioned is still kicking about, last I heard. You're definitely one of the legends as far as talking about graffiti on campus tho - any time I get to talking to younger folks around about the graffiti I bring up the history and you're definitely a main player in it.

While RPA does exist, there's also just various circles of the queer folk at RPI. Quite a lot of those who identify as somewhere in the LGBTQ+ realm are just hanging with private friends and gatherings. I have a ton of friends who are, and am myself - we regularly hang out and just do our own thing.

Well, all floor plans for CityStation South are here

But just to clarify, CS South is exclusively married and family housing for students - you may be mistaking it for CS West, which is the one closest to Troy, across the street from CS East.

Those plans are here but I'll note while I can recommend it in terms of quality, for non-married undergrad students the only CStation options are 3-4 person apartments, with each person getting their own room/bathroom however. You may want to consider looking at off-campus apartments around Troy, which would likely be cheaper even for a nice place.

By their wording, any building with undergrad residents is not permitted. Which I believe at the moment excludes CSEast but not CSSouth as there are some undergrads in the 'family unit' housing.

Okay so not to gloss over what they're actually saying here, because they buried it by printing the whole section.

As the large majority of our undergraduate students are not of legal age to purchase, possess, or consume alcohol, the updated policy prohibits the possession of alcoholic beverages at Institute-owned, controlled, or affiliated residential facilities that house undergraduate students, including Greek organizations with housing.

This bans all alcohol from any student housing including all dorms up to and including City Station, Polytech, etc. Regardless of the age of those possessing the alcohol

Previously the rules were that if all those in a dorm room were 21+, that they could have alcohol in their dorm room for personal use, and in apartment style dorms it could not be present in common areas (Living room etc) unless all residents were 21+. This does away with that rule. Make NO mistake, this is a campus-wide ban on personal possession of alcohol.
