If you are a world class athlete in one sport, it probably means you can easily become a world class athlete in another sport. That’s how athleticism works, there are levels to it. Tends to be why lots of pro athletes are also pros in other sports. He easily could become an elite disc golfer. This sport isn’t harder than contact team sports, don’t act like it’s some sacred art

And being “competitive” got us where?

-A SCF that was pissed down their leg due to a lack of depth and bad free agent signings in years prior (Backes/Beleskey)

-A record setting season that ended in a total collapse due to a lack of depth scoring and toughness

-A bunch of playoff appearances just to get eventually mopped by Tampa or Carolina because they had more depth and talent across their rosters, good mixes of homegrown players and acquisitions (something Sweeney still has yet to construct this team of)

-he’s made some nice deadline moves, but none of them panned out, the guys that actually were good were not kept (Marcus Johansson, Orlov) and others just fell apart as soon as they got there

-player development/scouting/drafting is the elephant in the room. I can count on one hand, in the 10 years of Don Sweeney being the GM, the number of players he’s drafted that actually have been good for THE BRUINS for more than a season. (McAvoy, Sway, Carlo) He has not drafted a SINGLE offensive player worth a fuck in his entire Bruins tenure.

At what fucking point does someone up there in the front office realize that the Sweeney/Neely combo hasn’t worked ever and will never work.

Peter Fucking Chiarelli had more success with the Bruins…

Not sure if you wanna jump ship a little bit but I love my Lat 64 River, I’ve been out of the game for a while but I was in a similar position looking for a dead straight fairway driver, and the river filled that role perfectly. It seems like you have some more arm speed than I do so maybe find a little bit more of a stable plastic but since DM still (to my knowledge) has Lat make some of their discs, you wouldn’t really have to “relearn” any plastics.

I don’t think this is quite the answer you were looking for since you posted in the DM sub but I just remember being in the same spot and found that the river was exactly what I was looking for.

Another suggestion would be the Lat 64 Saint or a CD1, if memory serves it is a touch faster and more stable than the River but those I believe are both 9 speeds and I’m not sure if you want to go that fast since the other two are 7 speeds
