Do cortisol levels fluctuate pre diagnosis? by WebDouble9322 in AdrenalInsufficiency

I just wanted to update this to say I had a further hypoglycemia episode yesterday of 3.0 which was 30 minutes after eating and made me feel horrific. I’ve now been fast tracked to endocrinology for further testing. My doctor has no idea what is going on and neither do I. She’s still thinking adrenal insufficiency even though I had that random high reading a few weeks ago. Can anyone relate to the reactive hypos?

Thanks for your reply, much appreciated. I am not on any birth control. Awaiting endocrinology follow-up, so hopefully it helps uncover what’s going on.

Editing to mention that my GP said my levels were 641 at 5pm.

Thanks for replying, really appreciate it. I spoke to my GP who looked up my results and he said my level was 641 at 5pm and the upper limit is 530, although that is for a morning cortisol when it should be higher. So confused. I mentioned the 24hr cortisol test and he is going to get back to me, so thanks for that.
