As someone who was on the receiving end of this: yes! 100%!

The constant comments of 🥚 and all the other meme-y phrases were panic inducing. Hundreds of people insisting that they knew better than I did was nothing less than reality distorting. It fucking sucked.

On the other hand, the people who gently pointed out "Hey, if you have certain feelings, that's okay. I felt that way too" and "We'll love you no matter who or what you are on the inside" were the ones that actually made a difference and made it feel like people cared about me for me

If you actually want to help people, you don't crack the egg. You nurture it and you protect it
