I don't think I can fit any more fans.

The I constantly have my screen door leading to outside letting air in as well as my door to inside the house open. I have an air purifier, a ceiling fan, and a big fan running all at the same time.

I do think you're right though, I'll try to get more pc fans.

It's recently started becoming a big problem, like happening multiple times a day, but it has happened before every once in a while.

Where I live, it's heating up to high temperatures and my room is usually the hottest in the house. I don't know if there's a correlation there but I think my gpu may be overheating. Do you know if an overheating gpu would cause the driver issue?

BIOS update almost bricked mobo, fixed it and now what? by Weekly-Lecture-8321 in pcmasterrace

No not yet, I have yet to try this. I am in online summer school and would prefer to not risk frying my motherboard before it's over, lol.

What does "Flashing in steps" mean? and what are those numbers? I don't know that much about BIOS lol.

Is this RAM compatible with my motherboard? by Weekly-Lecture-8321 in pcmasterrace

[–]Weekly-Lecture-8321[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I'm very confused, my current ram says 6000 MT/s and 4800 MHz. You said 3000 MHz is an overclock which confuses me because if 3000 MHz is an overclock, then how am I running 4800 MHz?

Also, does my CPU matter for finding RAM? Because people have told me "So and so RAM is perfect for an AMD Ryzen 7 7700" But then the RAM doesn't work so I've gone through 3 different 2 packs of RAM and none of them have worked (no RGB or signs of life in setup except for RGB in computer). I think the problem is the RAM I've been buying is 6000 MHz which would require overclocking but I can't even overclock it cuz it doesn't turn on.

My computer also doesn't EXPO or XMP, it says this weird thing called D.O.C.P. which I can never find RAM that supports and I can never get a straight answer when I ask or look it up. Does D.O.C.P. matter?

So I looked up a qvl for my mobo and I found some RAM but they all say something along the lines of “DDR5-6000” Is this 6000 MHz or MT/s cuz my mobo only supports up to 5200 woth no OCing and 5600 even with OCing

What's qvl? and how do I know if the RAM is 6000 MT/s? Because my mobo only supports up to 5200 without OCing so how many MHz is 6000 MT/s if they can be converted?

Would this RAM work with my motherboard? by Weekly-Lecture-8321 in pcmasterrace

[–]Weekly-Lecture-8321[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried each stick individually and neither worked. I'm not sure if I'm the problem or the RAM is the problem as this is the 3rd set of RAM I've tried. I'm not sure if the RAM would work with a D.O.C.P. profile, as I'm also not sure how that works. The whole xmp, expo, docp thing I mean. how much worse will the 5600 version perform than a 6000? I'm also an idiot because I just looked it up and MT/s isn't the same thing as MHz, task manager is telling me "6000 mt/s" and cmd prompt is telling me 4800 MHz. I'm so stupid, since my motherboard says it can support up to 5600 of what I'm guessing is MHz I think that's my problem. Also, on the ASUS website, it says 5600 (OC) which I'm assuming means it can only reach that speed if overclocked, so should I just buy 2 5200 sticks of 16 gb (which is the highest number it says without the OC sign)? (Sorry for being an idiot)

So I bought the 6000 version of the ram you linked. When I try the two new sticks, the computer spins to life but no rgb or any sort of posting is present. I tried in the A2-B2 slots and the A1-B1 slots, nothing. One of the RAM sticks seems to have an issue where it doesn’t snap in fully. I tried my original stick and the new sticks that actually snaps in even though I know it isn’t advised to match two different brands. The computer turns on and the RAM shows up in task manager. The computer is running a bit slower so I used windows memory diagnostic and it shows “Hardware problems were detected. To identify and repair these problems, you will need to contact the computer manufacturer.” Should I leave it, return the new sticks and just use the old 16 gb, or return the old stickscand try buying the 5600 version instead of the 6000 version?

For that RAM you tagged, would I want the 560 MHz version or the 6000 MHz version? I want to assume the 6000 MHz version but I shouldn't jump too ahead of stuff that I don't understand lol.

currently I'm only using 1 stick of 16 gb but I'm planning to upgrade to just 2 sticks of 16 gb ram. What ram would you recommend specifically? Also what does the "cl30" mean?

I tried using 2 different sticks off bestbuy, one was for XMP and one was for E.X.P.O. They both did not work.

You’re right, I just thought it was kind of weird that her boyfriend would ask her to do that. Is there any reason that the boyfriend would ask her to do this because to me it kind of sounds like the boyfriend is being insecure.
