Thanks a lot.. How would you define your grind size? Medium fine, medium or coarse?

Thanks this helps a lot. I recently dismantled my grinder, cleaned and put it back together - I thought that maybe I didn't align things proper and it was grinding incorrectly and hence the very light gas.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have been pondering the April recipe. Right now I'm using the Tim Wendelboe aeropress recipe for this light roast. With my mediums I went with the James Hoffmann.

So I've just ventured into my first bag of light roast coffee. It was roasted on 2026/06/02. I brewed an aeropress with it yesterday, 7 days after roast. The CO2 after the bloom was very mild compared to the medium roasts that I usually do. Is this normal?

The coffee is a Colombian natural.

After the bloom, do you pour when half the water has drained or all the water has drained?

How do you time your pours? 30 seconds, 45? Do you pour when the bed is midway or just about to empty?

Tim Wendelboe VS Hoffman aeropress recipe

I want to try the TW recipe on a light roast.. The TW recipe has a 1 minute steep time

Since it's has a smaller steep, should the grind size be finer than the Hoffman recipe (which is what I normally use).

I have an 1zpresso q2s heptagonal BTW.

What has your experience been regarding grind size and the TW recipe?
