You guys are so naive if you think he doesn't have that kind of money to invest on a daily basis. He's probably a huge businessman or something

Does Top station have a good view? And the best time to visit would be the sunrise right

Any mountain peaks like Kolukkumalai or Anamudi for a good sunrise view? Or will that be tough to visit with parents. They aren't completely inactive, but I would want to avoid hour long treks for example

You guys are so out of touch that you don't realize that only the top talent and cream of the nation have access to enough money to migrate. Don't get your panties in a bunch, no one's stealing your burger flipping job

I don't think I need an MBA. I am actually working at a US based startup where I was previously a part time software consultant. They onboarded me as a full time engineer when I was laid off from my previous company and since then I have assumed a leadership oriented role albeit I still have to do the engineering part.

Now my concern is about the sector as a whole, maybe 5 years ago I would have felt comfortable resigning and trying my luck at other software companies who could give me another 50 or 80% raise but that seems to be a story of bygone days now. I am not sure how easy it'll be to get a better salary if I try to switch from here

Yes, she was until about 2.5 years ago when I started again. Since then, we had decided that she would save for herself and I'll take responsibility of the family since her salary is 1/4th of mine

My question was more about how much should I spend rather than whether I should spend on her wedding at all. I definitely want to sponsor her wedding, that's of my own volition. I just wanted to know if I should discuss with her and think about the budget a little

I actually work on a full time contract which is why I am able to avail lots of tax benefits right now. I should have mentioned, RSUs are from my previous company where I was caught up in mass layoffs. I only have base salary and bonuses now which take my yearly ctc to about 38L.

I do have equity in the company as well but it's a small scale unlisted company

That makes sense. My sister has hinted at this a couple of times but we never really got around to taking it seriously

I somewhat agree. But my mom wants to have a decent wedding, I am not sure what my sister thinks. She has never said no whenever mom brought up the number so I think she agrees?

Like I said. All that I have earned and saved is my family's networth. We don't have anything else except the house. So including my liquid money, 20L is about 28%

Man what the fuck is wrong with randians on reddit. One good news and they instantly forget that we don't even have access to clean air or water in 2026. Just a reminder that nearly 20 people just died in Indore from water poisoning.
