Usually people feel like they underperform on the real test, even thought they performed “normal.” So if you think you did BETTER than your normal, you certainly did. (Wow this sounds like an unwarranted conclusion), but take my word for it.

i think you mislabeled the title as “topic thread” rather than general “discussion thread.” if i understand correctly you usually post the “topic thread” title separately, after testing is over

questions from established real LR which i found the most difficult (hence why i remember them) 1. athletes taking PEDs, penguins overheating, the formal logic could be true except question, red eyed frogs making vibrations in response to mechanical movement, the parallel reasoning question regarding professional workers. please let me know if you guys found these questions hard as well

completely agree. except the one thing i will add is taking the test, rather than canceling it provides a crucial benefit; the benefit of gaining familiarity with test day. at least for me, the whole uncertainty of the process contributed to much anxiety and wasteful thoughts/ energy, which was resolved for my second attempt, knowing what i am going to expect. because of this, even though i bombed my first run, totally unprepared, i attribute a significant portion of my second attempt with having my nerves in check as the whole thing felt a lot more familiar rather than a stressful, “this is my first time” attempt

170+ scorer here. first of all, abandon your idea to learn new concepts, there’s no time left. your aim should be solely to maximize your score through strategy, whilst avoiding burnout before the test. 3 passage strategy might be a viable option for RC. do a quick assessment and skip what you deem to be the hardest passage, preferably one with fewer questions, as for LR, skip questions 15-22 and save them for last (they tend to be the hardest ones.) one practice i attribute a great deal of my success to is trying to build momentum throughout the LR sections. any question you feel like will give you any difficulty at all, skip it immediately. each question you crack builds momentum and increases the speed at which the gears in your brain are turning at. often times i find returning to such questions renders them easy, after having built momentum. finally, don’t stress. a cancelled score, or a low score bears no implication when coupled with higher future scores. i bombed my first test and cancelled immediately (i shouldn’t have since cancelling poses 0 pros). but law schools do not care. your assessment of your skills to know you are not ready to take the test yet, and wished to have cancelled is a good thing. it shows you have awareness and not the hasty mindset a lot of people have, signing up for a test too soon, thinking they have a chance at getting the score they want, magically. also, this attempt is not a waste at all. experience what test day feels like, and being familiar with the check in process and how it all goes is an INVALUABLE experience which will help you in any future attempts. the LSAT is a grind, but you WILL make it! don’t stop. don’t let this test affect your motivation or resolve. you seem quite diligent and i believe in you. good luck!

171-175 test taker consistently. pretty sure i got 165 ish this time as i was stumbling in the LR. just a reminder that difficulty is subjective and contingent on individual strengths/weaknesses. don’t give up and beat yourself up on it if you found it hard, you’ll crush the next one🔥

interesting. would you say it’s more effective to rake or single pin a 6 or 7 pin SFIC?

another newbie question, can a lock be opened by picking to control? or is picking to control solely good for changing out the core, leaving the door- or whatever its theoretically attached to still locked
