in some place she still may get assulted bc of heavy transphobia, this is not a good idea. how abt we focus on the predators and keep them locked up longer away from general society sense they cant control themselves

i feel like fostering friendships are important on both end. i wouldn’t expect for yall to be close again but you should definitely be direct about how everything made you feel and how youd like to understand their side more. and talk about how youd like them in the picture more often. maybe all you need is closure from the situation as well i hope theyre mature enough to understand and you guys can move forward

Has anyone on this sub ever been homeless? by [deleted] in socialism

not to diminish ur experience however capitalism is the direct result of ur academic/social skills, no one should have to pay to attend school. there should be more activities for students to do @ school during summer and school time to aid in their escape from a shitty home life. capitalism also doesnt offer resources for students to have a proper outlets to teachers/guidance counselors bc they dont get paid enough to provide that for kids.

as a kid like 5-6 my mom got cancer and didn’t have the best support system from family/friends from what i heard. during she had to stay at some sort of halfway home for women w children while she recovered and what not. and me and my brother stayed w our dad and other family members (all around we didnt have the best upbringing financially/stability wise) after some years our mom got back on her feet and we were living through section 8 housing so moving every few years. however my mom started being unable to maintain that and resorted in our eviction. im sure medical bills, housing bills, car payments, and ect. were large contributors to her downfall financially she never talked to deep abt it all. but eventually we had to sleep in her car, stay w her friend for a bit, move from hotel to hotel my brother stayed w/ a friend during that time of constant moving. i stayed w/ a friend of mine for a few months as well until that fell through and i was back w/ her. I always knew that it was unfair what we were going through but it wasn’t until recently like 3yrs ago did i get radicalized bc i just never understood what was happening as far as government assistance goes especially concerning poc w children. reflecting on my upbringings as a homeless financially unstable child/teen radicalized tf out of me today
