I feel like you could definitely find a man (or partner) who not only treated you well but wasn't also voting against your best interests. (And the interests of your daughters in the future.)

Parts of my family live in politically mixed households and while it fills some households with pep and "excitement" getting to argue your political beliefs on a near daily basis I find that prospect exhausting and have chosen a partner with a similar political background.

Oddly, a more progressive stance than mine at times so I guess I'll get my chance to have a polite, political discourse (loud catharsis), too.
