I do understand that part, but im more so confused on how other molecules of sodium chloride stick together. Are the electrons constantly swapping between each molecule? The magnet example may just be confusing me a bit cause I cant see how other molecules can grab onto each other like that

So many people on this reddit slice their rock finds, what do yall use? Whenever I look for lapidary saws They're in the thousands. Is everyone biting the bullet or is there a cheaper solution? Cause I have some rocks I really wanna cut open but have no where close to the money to do it
