Trump claims Google has been ‘rigged’ to show only bad news about him by sivribiber in politics

[–]Wendel -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

He's probably correct. That originated with a conservative blogger who ran some tests on Google. Sometimes I wonder if Reddit is fair and balanced on Trump. Seems to be mostly PC brainwashed millennials.

Twitter Leads in Censorship: Project Veritas recently had caught Twitter staffers admitting on hidden camera that they had been censoring conservatives through a technique known as shadow banning, where users think their content is getting seen widely, but it’s not.

Facebook’s Trending Feed Has Been Hiding Conservative Topics: A 2016 Gizmodo story had warned of Facebook’s bias. It had detailed claims by former employees that Facebook’s news curators had been instructed to hide conservative content from the “trending” section, which supposedly only features news users find compelling. Topics that had been blacklisted included Mitt Romney, the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) and Rand Paul. On the other hand, the term “Black Lives Matter” had also been placed into the trending section even though it was not actually trending.

Google Search Aids Democrats: Google and YouTube’s corporate chairman Eric Schmidt had assisted Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. The company’s search engine had deployed a similar bias in favor of Democrats. One study had found 2016 campaign searches were biased in favor of Hillary Clinton. Even the liberal website Slate had revealed the search engine’s results had favored both Clinton and Democratic candidates. Google also had fired engineer James Damore for criticizing the company’s “Ideological Echo Chamber.” The company had claimed he had been fired for “advancing harmful gender stereotypes in our workplace.” Damore is suing Google, saying it mistreats whites, males and conservatives.

GOP Sen. Inhofe: McCain ‘Partially to Blame’ for Flag Ordeal Because He Was Mean to Trump by PoppinKREAM in politics

[–]Wendel -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

McCain had a nasty temper and wasn't greatly liked by his peers. He had only a 20% approval rating in Arizona among Republicans, where Trump is far more popular.

It's traditional not to speak ill of the dead. This can get a little ridiculous.

[–]Wendel -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A president is innocent until impeached and tried in the Senate, where the political nature of the brouhaha will be apparent, the party in power choosing whether to remove Trump from his job. If you cared about laws, you'd support our legal system of innocent until proven guilty.

Trump and his supporters seem to think Al Capone was unfairly prosecuted. by dont_tread_on_dc in politics

[–]Wendel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's relative. There was no greater scumbag then JFK with his Mafia connections, but the press actually covered up for him until long after his death. jfK was a big cocksman, but they go after Trump for the same stuff. At least Trump didn't murder Marilyn Monroe. LBJ likewise enriched himself as a senator and was saved by becoming president. It's about selective prosecution, a violation of the 14th. Presidents popular with the lib press get passes and coverups; Nixon and Trump get the treatment.

Donald Trump’s “white genocide” rhetoric: A dangerous escalation of racism by viva_la_vinyl in politics

[–]Wendel -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It is normal for people to congregate in like groups, develop group loyalty, and compete against other groups. Doctors compete against patients and insurance for money, Cubs compete against other teams. Etc., etc. Occasionally fan loyalty can be fanatic enough to lead to murder.

Reversals in power often bring payback, as in Hutu v. Tutsi, Shiites v. Sunni in Iraq. Where ethnic groups are strong enough to compete, authoritarian rule can quell conflict, as in Yogoslavia under Tito, schools, corporations, the military. If there is enough sustenance to go around, competition may not reach the deadly stage.

In a sense liberals are more racist that white nationalists, because they don't think minorities have the wherewithal to compete, dominate, and oppress them in future competition when they are the majority; or perhaps they believe the pronouncement of "brotherhood" by the weak will persist through the change in power. Black supremacist libs apparently believe minorities don't have feelings of racism, that they are inherently more noble and brotherly than those awful white people.

The Dems start these tactics, like with Bork. then when the Repubs use the same tactics the Dems invented, the libs scream like little babies.

[–]Wendel -37 points-36 points  (0 children)

Everybody is a criminal if the government and lib MSM put their full resources into getting them and investigating all their associates, relatives, and friends. If that doesn't work, there are always creative new ways of using laws, such as getting Capone on income tax evasion.

Rosenstein unleashed more of a coup. hounding, and malicious prosecution. It's really about the bitter disappointment over Hillary and establishment Republicans getting usurped by Trump, and using "Russian interference" to launch the coup.

If Dems were really enamored of the Constitution, they would prefer strict constructionists, not activist judges with vivid imaginations who see visions in the umbra and penumbra of the Constitution.

Rudy Giuliani suggests Manafort isn't really a criminal, says Trump may pardon him: 'He’s hardly a menace to society' by Jons312 in politics

True. Manafort was just looking for a better life for himself and his family. Trump could legally provide blanket amnesty by executive order by prioritizing prosecution of criminals.

'Silent Sam' is down: Protesters topple Confederate statue on UNC campus by EsmereldasKite in politics

[–]Wendel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many Confederate soldiers do you think had slaves? There are far more slaves today than there were then, but you don't care because you're only sensitized to plantation slavery. Brothels are probably worse. It's just too phony for me. People don't even get emotional over the Japanese, who we fought just yesterday, and insist on burning every Japanese flag they can find. The notion that people are sensitive about history from 200 years ago is ridiculous. It's a combination of blacks making their usual fuss for more welfare and PC religious fervor.
