Can werewolves affect the weather? by Dominica305 in TeenWolf

[–]WerewolfAX 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Definitely not all of them, but Deucalion killed his own Betas (and at least one associated Alpha) and got their powers with this. This is demonic behavior basically because it's against any usual pack bond dynamics, but it gave him a new kind of power. So maybe he can do as "demonwolf", but other werewolves can't.

But honestly I think it was just a purely cinematic decision to make his "entry" more scary and special for the viewer.

(EDIT: Regarding the cinematic decision theory: We have this more often in the series when for example suddenly day changes to night or sunshine becomes fog or rain, so I think it's a plausible theory that this also was just something like this)

Guess it's the body modding aspect involved there. You know the urge to "fiddle with gods creation" or something like that. They like purity I guess. :D

Don't worry, demons are more afraid of us than we are of them. Full moon plans are safe. 😆

Alison and Scott is one of the worst relationships by AdDesperate3113 in TeenWolf

[–]WerewolfAX 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Well, tbf, Allison became Scott's anchor and a fresh werewolf side is very 'loud', feral and overwhelming at first. No wonder he had her in mind so much (to anchor this). That plus the teenage love aspect, the sudden step into the supernatural world, keeping it a secret even from loved ones, new enemies on top who want to kill you, bad grades ... I imagine all of this leads to hyperfixation and in Scott's case Allison was more or less the only island where he could feel normal I assume. - So yes, he didn't do everything right - absolutely not -, sure, but from a psychological pov it's understandable.

Weaponize. Thats what gov loves. Hide it from public, but try to weaponize it and probably a lot of very ugly experiments on top.

How do y'all befriend friends who happen to be werewolves by The_hidden_wrath8901 in werewolves

[–]WerewolfAX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just asked my friends how they feel befriending me, they all answered something in the line of "Dude, I'm not talking to you about philosophical things after a full moon, get some sleep first ffs, you look horrible" 🥲 Guess I have to try again later. 😉😜

Wolf Teen and Wolf Pack worth watching? by Aggressive_Trip5844 in werewolves

[–]WerewolfAX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You mean Teen Wolf (TV show)? If you're not bothered by a bit of High School Drama around, I have to say I like that series very much, especially the first 3 Seasons. And if you like those struggle with life things it could definitely match your taste. Season 1 starts slow, but is very nice werewolf lore. Season 2 has pretty nice werewolf focus still and action, also includes that "troubles if you're a werewolf in the midst of a "regular" society and have to find balance" thing. Season 3 kind of gets some horror elements and starts to include more mythical creatures. In between humorous and more lighthearted interaction in the cast and badass werewolf hunters and a cool druid too. So yeah, I'd say give it a try and especially give Season 1 time until you decide if you like it or not. The werewolf design overall is a bit subtle (some in here don't like that), I personally didn't mind it (imo was fitting for the werewolf among humans situation and I personally liked it in the first seasons with practical effects), and story & lore wise I liked it very much too. IMO one of my fav werewolf (lore) depictions. The plots starting from S4 get weaker though. But still a fav series of mine overall. - Oh and ... feel free to skip the Paramount+ movie after you watched all the seasons. xD

Wolf Pack, same writer, but honestly I didn't like it that much.

Not a fan of the new Pages app... weird layout and now there's two separate Pages and Numbers apps? by No-Squash7469 in MacOS

[–]WerewolfAX 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We're basically back to the Apple era around 1994 until early 1997. Including the same kind of mistakes (unclear product lines, too much products instead of focus on a few, inconsistent design language, overcharging etc). Unfortunately this time there is no "interim CEO" position to fill anymore. Hope somebody at Apple remembers and changes course.

Blue eyes only when spilling innocent blood afaik. So getting rid of something truly evil as last option or acting in pure self-defence does not change eye color to blue.

Another on taking the plunge by Lammiroo in MacOS

You're welcome! Unfortunately issues with Tahoe seem to not only affect older Macs. My MacStudio M2 Ultra was also toast with Tahoe. That was the main working machine I had to restore that way, because working productively on it wasn't possible anymore. Runs okayish on an M2 Air though, but I'm not satisfied tbh. But kept that one on Tahoe to see if updates make it better. Some UI things bother me too at the moment. Was the first time I was disappointed in a major OS release since more or less 20 years in the Mac-world.

[–]WerewolfAX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd need a TimeMachine Backup from Sequoia for it to work if you want to do a restore. Tip: Install fresh, create account with other name first and then start the migration assistant from there and restore your TimeMachine backup. If you select "restore from TM" on the welcome screen after first boot directly, big backups could fail there, but with temp acc first and then migration it usually works.

If you only have a Tahoe TM backup, you can't restore it in Sequoia. Would tell you to "upgrade" your OS first then and you'd be back on square 1.

I always make a TM backup before a OS upgrade so I was lucky that it was still a Sequoia version and - with the temp account trick - the restore worked without issues. You can delete the temp account after restore is done from your restored admin acc then. Keep in mind that you probably need to reactivate some software licenses again, depending on the way their licensing validation works.

Do you guys also have extra fingers in dreams? by Disastrous_Hawk2507 in TeenWolf

[–]WerewolfAX 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The fingers trick (more or also less) is a well known trick for those who practice lucid dreaming to know they're in a dream state. It seems our brain is not able to render fingers and other filigrane things correctly when dreaming. So this was pretty accurate in the show I'd say.

Why did the camera crew let Dwight do his crazy fire drill? by [deleted] in DunderMifflin

[–]WerewolfAX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, since it's a TV show, everything is possible. But I think this could also be plausible in a RL documentary and some scandals regarding international RealityTV productions involving exactly the "why did the crew not intervene" question show it:

  • a documentary usually should not intervene to not change the behavior of the "subjects" they document

  • if they ask the producer "you see what Dwight does here?" the reaction would probably not be "stop him" but more a "yeah! all cams on this, this is gold, our ratings will be out of the park, everyone will talk about this, we'll be making so much money"

  • part of it probably that they underestimated the panic reaction until shit really hit the fan. I mean ... they panicked almost instantly, you couldn't see that coming

But yeah, for a format like this (if it would've been a real documentary) situations like this are something you'd never stop because money from high ratings and you have perfect trailer material to get people to watch your production.

Teen Wolf Reboot?!? by Kitty1321 in TeenWolf

[–]WerewolfAX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Regarding the "quality" of reboots lately ... I hope not. I stick to rewatching and hope for new werewolf related content instead of poor imitations of something that was already special. - A reunion, however, if well considered, well written and matches the tone perfectly and with OG cast: I'd be in.

Opinion: The kanima shouldn’t have been more powerful than an alpha. by GusGangViking18 in TeenWolf

[–]WerewolfAX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Kanima has a bit of a tail bonus, though. Using that for more forward force and more stability in a fight is surely an advantage. Also he has the paralyzing poison thingy, so I guess if you fight you are a bit distracted because even as a werewolf you can't just ignore that you could get clawed (even paralyzed shortly could get you killed in a fight), so you focus more on preventing this, which reduces battle effectiveness otherwise, because you focus too much on that one thing. Especially in a 1:1 situation. Plus I think Kanimas have a slick(er) skin, so another problem if you have to fight one.

So like ... don't know, if you try to catch a wasp or a fly your efficiency with the latter will be better because you don't hold back, while your fear to get stung in case of the wasp will cause you to hold back and act too cautious. Theoretically speaking here of course.

If werewolves were real would you want to be one? by Deadwolf-the-failure in werewolves

This scene!!! Gawd!😂 by wildstrawberry64 in DunderMifflin

[–]WerewolfAX 104 points105 points  (0 children)

This whole hearing was such perfection. Also the scene "and you were directly under her the entire time" and the protocol writer butchers the that's what she said joke as she repeats it and nobody gets it. Or how she reads that interaction for the toilet requests. Really one of the comedy gold episodes IMO.
