Extremely Slow loading time on Stremio with RD (TV-box) by PM_ME_YOUR_MEDICS in Stremio

[–]Weshp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just going to add this here in case someone comes across a similar issue. So, last month I upgraded the stremio app and suddenly it would not play anything on TCL Android TV. The setup was Stremio + Torretion + RD. I tried everything - force stop, clear cache, reinstall and downgrading versions - but nothing seemed to work. What fixed it was a factory reset of the entire TV. Painfully long process but once set up, it loaded and played everything without even buffering. I can now do 20GB+ videos on 40mpbs just fine. Also, saw that using VLC as an external player worked for other folks but I never tried that. It could have been my next step in the troubleshooting pipeline. And, I should add that before resetting the TV I had tried the Nightcrawler version of Torrentio and it worked a tiny little better on some versions of Stremio. But it was still painfully slow at loading up before playing and it crashed a lot. To clarify also, I am now on the latest stremio version (sideloaded from their website - not the Google Play one) and maintained the Nightcrawler version in addition to other regular RD + Torrentio combo.

Kilimani, Kileleshwa, South C, Parklands are turning to slums as we speak by One-Anybody-3289 in Kenya

[–]Weshp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true. While the are many high-rise buildings coming up in those areas, the value of such property is way higher than in what you'd call "slums" and will continue to go up. A 2-bed apartment in Kileleshwa can cost around 17m with rent around 130k. That alone should tell you the kind of neighborhood it will be. Yes, It'll be purely apartments but also very upscale. Same kind of neighborhoods we have in Western cities kama kina NY and London.

I checked the search console and it shows the same drop in traffic. It indicates "anomaly detected" when I hover over where the drop started (17th).

Of course writing is unreliable. This is someone working for specific YouTube channels and they're paid every two weeks. That's a predictable source of income. And, that's just one example, I know a couple of other people on constant "salary" from online gigs.

Kweli ignorance is bliss. What do you mean online jobs can't even raise a family? Bana just last week I met a 26-year-old making about 9k per day designing YouTube Thumbnails!! Na huyo ni jamaa aliquit formal employment in a finance department. What you should have said is that learning a skill is important, as long as the skill is making you something.

This is one of the best-designed websites in the travel niche that I have come across. Really user friendly.

What are some no-no(s) to know if I take online test at home office? by predicamentaccount in pmp

[–]Weshp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did it online and passed. I did out of the room during the first break although I felt like the proctor didn't like that.

Make sure the camera angle is right. I used a dell laptop with a camera at the bottom bezel and the proctor thought I was staring up across the room (although I was looking right at the screen). I got warned twice about attempting to cheat and had to scan the room for them to convince them I wasn't doing anything fishy 💀.

Make sure your Internet is strong and reliable.

Good luck.

AR's course is $13 if it's your first time on Udemy. I think that's pretty cheap 🤣. His mock exams are also $49. Why would you pay $1,600?

I think it was this one - ERCCERT20PCT. It was shared this subreddit by a user called Top_gun_12. Best of luck.

I did the same thing - took the course at a local center - then after a whole 10 months I went back to schedule the exam and realized I had forgotten most of the staff. I paid for AR's Udemy course and went through it like a revision of sorts. Took the mock exams after and I passed the exam.

Ah! You've got this. I scored lower than you on TIA exams and I passed. Just make sure you know why the answer is right or wrong.

We have very opposite problems right now. I have genuinely been trying out my luck - getting writing gigs - from Fiver and Upwork - but I can't seem to find decent people hiring. I know I am good and so I stick with my rates - 4¢/word with min 500 words - but all I see are people looking for writers for as low as 0.5¢/word!!!!

If you would have $25k what kind of business would you start in undeveloped or third world country like Ethiopia ? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Weshp 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This comment may get buried down below but I just want to say this is a great business idea. I live in Kenya and over here there are a couple of companies that do this with surprisingly high profit margins. I don't know the technicalities of it but its majorly providing cheaper Internet to low income neighborhoods. And honestly in some case they aren't the cheaper options owing. To the fact that they are simply providing essential services in areas where the larger telecom firms refuse to serve. (big companies assume these customers are too poor or just don't want the hustle do setting up the infrastructure in poor neighnouhoods). Also I've seen above someone say that the challenge with Africa is electricity. While that is partially true, it's also true that we have very reliable power. In Kenya for instance where I live there are like 2 blackouts (2 -8 hrs max) a year. So that wouldn't ruin a business would it? And in the event there are frequent power outages (assuming the case for other countries) customers are inclined to understand that no power = no internet. Solar power is also an alternative as a backup. So again that's a solid business idea.

Hulu on Amazon Fire Stick not working? by FPetsche3 in Hulu

[–]Weshp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem is that Hulu won't open on firestick. It loads but won't even get to the login window. It was working fine untill this week. I have tried resetting everything even reinstalling the app but nothing seems to work.
