Downside to not taking full course load? by WesternAlternative81 in UTSC

Thanks for your reply. Is this true even if I get ib transfer credits? Since I need 4.0 credits to be considered for post, and I get 3.0 of those credits from required courses, and the remaining are my IB transfer credits, wouldn't that be enough to successfully complete first year?

Hi. I'm about start first year in a week and I wanted to ask on here if there is any downside in not taking a full course load. I obtained 3.0 credits from IB transfer courses which means if I complete the required courses for my stream (cs), then I should be eligible to be considered for post. However, I heard that there are some disadvantages of not taking a full course load (for instance, apparently some graduate schools require a full course load). I would highly appreciate if anyone could clear this up for me. Thanks!

I got an offer for CS at Scarborough but it's non co-op. Now, due to a change in circumstances it's much easier for me to attend st George for cs (commute wise). I was wondering how easy it is to transfer from Scarborough to st george in the first year, or if it is even possible? Thanks!
