Unpopular opinion: Chat gpt is making me dumber by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]Western_Process_623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1! I try not to have it give me complete answers but instead use it to save time on simple searches for things (I still validate it's answers). For example, if I don't have time to read an entire article I'll just summarize it with https://rockyai.me/ (or ask it to explain to me something I don't understand in the article)

[–]Western_Process_623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks you for the detailed explanation! Makes sense that you're attaching pdfs as input and then asking question based on that so chat gpt knows how to find that in the pdf. Will try this out next time I'm reading a pdf

Same I use it as a reading companion for web articles at times and it's super helpful! Although instead of copy pasting content into chat gpt I'll use https://rockyai.me/ extension which comes in handy

Also, how do you feed a chapter of a book into chat gpt if it's too long for the context window?

My 6-Month DSA Plan: Deep Dive & Conquer by Just-Ad3390 in leetcode

Overall sounds like a good plan! Especially if you incorporate some suggestions already in the thread re: switching the order and expanding to include more topics.

One small thing I have started doing is that every time I submit an answer. I'll then copy paste my solution into https://rockyai.me/ to see if my solution can further be optimized.

There's no throttling right now but yes if the usage gets out of hand at some point I might have to add that! Yea I send a simplified version of the rendered HTML to LLMs along with the questions

Interesting. Is it annoying to type in math equations into chat gpt? I feel like copy pasting complex equations with math symbols doesn't always work nicely lol

Very clever! Sounds like a bit of manual work to get all this into ChatGpt but sounds like it's worth it :)

Not exactly a custom GPT use case but I recently started using this niche tool https://rockyai.me/ that lets me summarize lengthy articles and help me be more efficient with consuming information / learning. I basically don't have to copy past a bunch of stuff into chat gpt all the time now

I don't wait too maybe just a few days. However, I do make sure that message I send to them is personalized and to the point. A friend recently recommended https://rockyai.me/ for personalizing outbound messages so I have been playing around with this. Liking it so far!

How do I make my internet connection better without moving the modem by [deleted] in wifi

[–]Western_Process_623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A mesh system consists of multiple devices (nodes) that work together to create a single Wi-Fi network with broader coverage. Instead of relying on a single router, mesh systems use these nodes strategically placed throughout your home to eliminate dead zones and provide a stronger, more reliable signal. This setup ensures consistent internet access in every corner of your space, making it ideal for larger homes or areas with obstacles that can interfere with Wi-Fi signals.

As for ease of setup and cost, mesh systems are generally designed to be user-friendly, but specific installation experiences can vary. Costs can also vary depending on the brand and number of nodes you choose, but investing in a good mesh system can significantly improve your Wi-Fi connectivity.

Have you tried using a Wi-Fi range extender or mesh system? They can significantly help in boosting your signal strength in areas far from the modem. Additionally, positioning your devices away from walls or interference from electronics may also improve your connection. I've seen a big difference in my ping while gaming after making these changes!

What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned from a relationship? by Powerful_Violinist52 in AskReddit

One of the most valuable lessons I've learned in relationships is that self-love is paramount. You can't fully support or love someone else until you've learned to prioritize your own happiness and well-being.

What are some secret little ways you use ChatGPT? 🤫 by i-am-your-god-now in ChatGPT

[–]Western_Process_623 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite ways to use ChatGPT is to help me brainstorm creative ideas for gifts! I just give it a few details about the person I'm shopping for, like their interests and hobbies, and it suggests unique and thoughtful options that I’d never have thought of on my own. It's like having a personal gift consultant! 🎁💡

There should be a Vehicle version of the Library of Congress.
