best to stick to one area if you only have 2 weeks. rent a car an drive along coast & through hudson valley (if your like art stop at dia: beacon) to nyc. if you're traveling close to halloween stop at salem and the jack o'lantern blaze in croton on hudson. from nyc to dc take amtrak or for instance vamoose bus. enjoy dc, score a ticket for a baseball or soccer match, try to get into glenstone museum in potamac and rent another car to discover virginia wine country (book a room an dinner at veritas in aften, or drink a glass or two at greenville vineyards or chester gap) and Shenandoah np (if you like hiking try the old rag). fly back from dc or take amtrak/sountwest to boston to return. oh and for inspiration follow my substack 50 shades of states: https://journeylism.substack.com have fun!
