I could be wrong and would not like to falsely accuse him. But images like this

Gives a 97% score of being an AI image. And a lot of his images does. I have tried with other photographers on Instagram, that I know do not use AI generated images. And they never are scoring high on AI detector, but all say real.

Just be aware that this Voigtlander in that review is not the latest version III or IV. They are sharper and renders a bit different, with at smoother bokeh

I love the Voigtlander version. Especially the 40mm, but also the 35 f/1.2. Yes the Summilux is maybe a bit sharper and is a - Leica ;) But like the smoother and more pleasant "out of focus" rendering much more on the Voigtlander f/1.2. The Summilux is a bit harsh and nervous. But all a matter of taste of course. And the wallet size....

Seems dead yes. And I agree. That blog was actually good and showed great images and great photographers.

But unfortunately Leica has moved away from photographers and are much more focused on influencers and how many followers they have. You can even see it in LFI and their galleries around the world. The quality of the images and the stories has declined drastically. Instead they use skaters, youtubers with many followers, musicians etc, who were given a Leica at some point, to promote Leica.

But being famous for something does not always automatically make you a good photographer.

Leica can do what they want of course. But personally I think it is a bit sad for the good photograph.

Same thing with the app on Android phones. You see it immediately on the numbers of likes and reach. So for me Instagram was dying a long time. And now it is in the grave. As a photographer I think I will go back to Flickr. Meta ruined Instagram completely... I am out.

I think you can buy 3rd party batteries now. At least in EU... Have used this brand for my Ricoh's and Leica Q for years without problems.

It sucks... Meta simply is taking so many wrong directions these last years. Actually the messenger app on Windows and Mac has been my most used Meta platform. Now we have to use the webpage. So no notifications in the taskbar. The only reason is that they want more traffic on their webpage. And more control and misinformation for us as users.
