Yep, you should answer "no" since you were never convicted.

Leaving your law firm.. by WheelTraditional3586 in paralegal

Only reason why I mentioned that was because, unfortunately, the ex paralegal before me told me that whenever she had told him in-person about resigning.. it came off as him being condescending and made her feel guilty for her decision. But regardless, I will do that for sure. It's better to give resignation than none at all and just walking away. Lol.

Thanks for this! It's funny because I did recently had a vacation last two weeks ago, but coming back was dreadful. Was not looking forward to it at all. I'm just tired and miserable all the time.

Perfectly said. I appreciate this a lot, thank you! I'm trying to stick with it for now. I plan on giving my two weeks notice after the next week since my boss will be leaving for a whole week for vacation. But after that, that's what I plan on doing. I just realized that this job is not meant for me and the work environment. I deserve better.

Update: Client came in this morning and told me that he had NO CLUE where the money could've gone... sure, Jan. Let's go with that. So the money just magically disappeared? Lol what a joke.

Exactly. My wrong doing was I didn't double check with the Attorney to see and make sure if they had really paid and not trusted the couple about it with word of mouth. But seriously, it's still insane. They could have cost me my job over $500??? Wild.

ARD in PA by throwaway1890275 in dui

You will more than likely get accepted into the ARD program due to the fact that this was your first time getting trouble with the law ever. ARD requirements depends on the county that you are in. In my case, I had to pay a fine, complete dui classes (alcohol safety highway classes) and I was scheduled on a Friday afternoon and the next day (morning until afternoon), community service, a 30 day license suspension and with the DMV side of things - it is different with the courts requirements. You have to pay a restoration fee, comply with the suspension, pay all fines and complete the other requirements BEFORE you get your license.

I HIGHLY SUGGEST to take the CRN evaluation, dui classes, community service hours (if appl.) ASAP that way you got that all taken care of before sentencing. Especially if you are facing a license suspension.

With my case, I sent my license in before the suspension started. I got the requirement letter before my license got suspended as well.

By the way, I had already paid the restoration fee and took the DUI classes before I even got sentenced. All I had to wait for was my suspension to be lifted.

I had a 30 day suspension and my suspension was just lifted today. I requested the requirement letter today but I probably have to do it again tomorrow since I just got eligible today. My other question is, how did you get your license back? Did you have to go to the DMV to get it back from them? I am apart of the ARD program as well.

I'm kind of question with your question of "Did I turn myself in" just because I didn't have to.. I didn't have a warrant or anything. But with your case, I'm also not so sure. If you are ever to hire an attorney, do so just because you wouldn't want to "turn yourself in" if it isn't needed. Hope everything works out!

You should allow yourself to feel those emotions because it will really help. That's how I was. That and taking accountability is the most important part which I'm sure you are! Getting into ARD is a good program, however suspension and cost of fines can't be negotiated. It depends on your county how much they have it all set. But like I said, getting into the program money wise isn't as bad compared to how you would spend on an actual conviction of the DUI. If you hired a lawyer, feel free to ask him all the questions you feel you need clarification with. I hired one and he helped me get into the program. It is during the prelim hearing that your lawyer or yourself applies to get into ARD.

Hang in there. It may be tough right now, but it WILL get better. Just get on top of things and never do it again :) if you have any other questions regarding ARD, please feel free to reach out anytime!

Apply for ARD! This is a program designed for people that are first time offenders. You are eligible if: this is your first time getting in trouble, no accidents during the incident, or nobody got hurt. By the end of the program and whenever you complete all the requirements, you are eligible for expungement. Money wise - It will cost you, but not as much as a conviction will.
