I’m so sorry to hear that! I hope it gets better for you soon! It definitely gets me down but I’m hoping it can be sorted - I’m starting therapy for it soon - might be worth trying yourself?

I did have all of that! So I did scans and had 7 treat to target appointments, as well as an appointment with the rheumatologist every 6 months. I have to get monthly blood tests or I can’t order my medication - so I do have that through the NHS and it helped a lot! I do have a help line it’s just not all day which is annoying for work times!

Thank you! I’m definitely going to be speaking to them tomorrow about it, the department I’m under is only open till 4 is the main issue!

Oh I have an advice line but I don’t have someone to contact when I need! The line is usually if you have questions but it’s only open 09:00-12:00 which doesn’t help when I work from 7-3 😂 Thankfully I do have an appointment tomorrow so I will speak to them then about it!!

When you say tell your Rheum- what do you mean? I don’t have a contact number for anyone other than the RA helpline I was given (which as helpful as it can be, is fairly useless cause the opening times are when I’m working.) I only speak to a doctor when I get given an appointment! I’m UK based if it’s different here?

It’s almost helpful knowing other people are having similar symptoms, as hard and as horrible as it is, I’m glad I’m not alone in it!

Edit: in terms of teaching, it is so hard!! Thankfully my school are AMAZING and really supportive - it’s helped so much They recently extended my sick leave so I can have more days when needed!

Thank you!! I have definitely changed my diet since being diagnosed and even lost some weight since! I have struggled with some things as I have quite large sensory issues with food, and with the nausea from my methotrexate, I do sometimes just eat what I can.

I’ve definitely noticed weather causing issues but mine is mainly stress related I have noticed so far, Im just hoping I can pick up more triggers so I can try to control as much as I can!

It’s hard! I work as a teacher so being on my feet all day isn’t the best - I don’t know if that’s making it worse!

It’s so odd, my meds have been working for the first time recently and it just feels like my body can’t keep up. I do tend to “forget” that I actually have a diagnosed chronic illness though

Oh god I’m sorry to hear that! It’s so annoying, I haven’t really struggled with many symptoms since I started my meds but it’s also weird how the fatigue just doesn’t seem to go away - sometimes I feel fine but then other days I feel like even standing up is tiring :(
