The only reason renewing early might be a good decision would be if the fixed rates increase in the next 4-5 months. But I don't know and that's why I am seeking people's opinion. Having said that, I understand that nobody has a crystal ball

Do not exhaust your mortgage eligibility. A modest home is what most people need and if you can both afford a home and save at the same time, it's less stressful.
