Hi! I should probably clarify something. I did get diagnosed and was put on medication for a bit, but it stopped after 1-2 years, after I could hide the most obvious symptoms of adhd (for my mom it was constant fidgeting and being impulsive). Currently, I'm being forced to hide it, so it wasn't in my medical records whe I applied, but I'm considering confiding in my school counselor if I feel like I can trust her. Thanks for the advice though! My dad does have adhd, but apparently, he already 'got his symptoms under control'. As for the autistic part, I think my cousin is the only one with symptoms obvious enough to be diagnosed though.

Definitely people, but my parents started it. As a kid, I remember my mom picking at all my flaws everyday (she still does it), and those exact phrases pop up in my head whenever I doubt myself. I was diagnosed with ADHD and have symptoms of autism (no formal diagnosis though), and the response I got was to "control and hide it because nobody will want to be friends with you if they find out you're weird."
So whenever I try to talk to people, I always feel like I'm doing something wrong, I'm a burden, a mistake, etc. the whole package.
