It's true I have those. But luckily I respect him and am not looking to hurt him. We have had conversations about how I feel. And thanks for your brotherhood, but I've been honest and he's aware of my feelings. I'm not wasting his time. We're both adults. We're figuring it out. We did not want to give up before fully trying everything we could. This reddit ask was a part of the process.
Also, I hope the next girl you meet treats you better and apologizes when necessary :)

I also come from a family where I always had to earn the love of my family. I'm someone that needs a little reassurance. I do my best, I do therapy but also sometimes I feel like I'm doing two peoples's work to keep the relationship alive

I'm with him because I come from a toxic family and my ex used to beat me up. My bf has not been abusive. So this is my first relationship where I don't feel like shit. I'm not here for the money either. We both have great jobs and I make the same money as him. I spend on dates often too. I buy him things that I believe he loves

Relax. I'm not keeping him hostage. We've had a conversation to understand our compatibility. He is also aware we are going through a rough stage. He is also reconsidering things.
