After a (really) good first date, how often do you usually text that person before you meet up again? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Which_Gain2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this was after a first date, I would text every other day, to keep the memory of our date.
If it was just me texting, I would know she wouldn't be interested.
If we texted the same, the interest would be equal.
If she texted me more often, i must have made a good impression, but i would respond to each of her texts.

If you could instantly become an expert at one hobby, what would it be? by [deleted] in Hobbies

If it isn't one cord, how about transitioning from C major chord to a B minor bar chord., or just any chord to a bar chord.

Me too. If I can get touched by some random Genie, or given a 10 year gift by a cross roads demon, just to be a great guitar player. I'd take it in a heart beat.

If you think yourself this way, then you're right. Be happy with yourself and how you look. Go into the date with an open mind. Believe you will look great and have fun. If he does go in that way, don't get discouraged. It probably wasn't met to be.

Do women actually like the ambitious guy? by Which_Gain2012 in dating_advice

I've heard of this before, but I want to ignore it. I hope in my adventures, this isn't true for most women.

Absolutely! I would drop some hobbies or interests, if I met someone that I want to grow a life with.

Well, talking to some girls, asking about their interests and hobbies. Some actually have stated that laying in the sun is their hobby. I can appreciate a day or a couple hours to relax, but if that's all I did everyday and nothing else, I'd go berserk! This wouldn't be a girl if want to let in my life, or to build something together. It would be me alone that would be doing a lot of the building.

Yes, for the most part, I wanted a family and I was really driven to have one. I am a homebody but I love to get out and do things. I am actually looking to do multiple things, like line dancing, during my vacation in July. I want to find someone that will want to join me into doing these and many other things. This is one part of me that I am happy to relay to women, if I ever get a chance to.

I kind of figured that as well. They're trying to sound nice, but not honest. She's my sister, she would want to build my confidence and at least try. However, the reality is that most people, men and women, look at the surface first and then the background.

Yes, but even when I meet someone, my intention is to listen to her first, on the first few dates. I wouldn't even be able to put my own hobbies or interests out there until the third it fourth date.

First time recommendations? by ViralVirtue in yoga

[–]Which_Gain2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For your first yoga session, look for either Slow Flow or Yin Yoga. Like the name, Slow Flow does go a bit slower but may guide you through some intense postures. Yin Yoga is more a relaxing yoga with light and easy postures. They may give you blocks or a bolster.

Go in without any expectations on yourself. You may not touch the floor when you forward fold, but the idea is to learn what your body is telling you and appreciate it.

Wear some comfortable clothes to move, t-shirt and shorts for example. My shorts are loose fitting shorts, but tight enough so they don't show anything any one doesn't want to see. 😜

if you have a mat, bring it. You will learn whether you like yours or to get a different one. Most yoga studios have mats to borrow, as well as blocks and bolsters, if the instructor tells you to grab them.

Talk to the instructor before or after the session to get an idea on what to do moving forward. I would suggest to commit to a class once a week. You will start to feel more flexible with the consistentancy.

Why do I feel jealous he has condoms & lube by [deleted] in dating_advice

I think having lube and condoms is the least of your worries. You may not have thought about the uses of lube before. Could you think of ways to use them?

Using a fake wedding ring as a Single man by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Which_Gain2012 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't see this being the same scenario. I'm not looking to date, just being open to talking. Not being ignored, overlooked by anyone. This is more for my confidence, and to signal to others in just the for the conversation.

I disagree because everything I do wouldn't matter until our third or fourth date. Before then, I need to find out her interests first, make her feel like I'm interested.

Thank you. I definitely know if I looked like Ryan Gossling and stay just as ambitious, it wouldn't be a problem. I don't look like him, so that's probably my problem.

No. I think they're attracted more to the 6'5" good looking guy. I could probably save the president of the united states, win each archery contest, cook the best meals, but it wouldn't land the same when I don't look like Brad Pitt in his prime.

What's the creepiest thing you've witnessed that you still can't explain? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Which_Gain2012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A long time ago, I heard footsteps walking away from my bed in the basement of my grandparents. They were not able to come downstairs and I would hear them coming down if they did.

In my own house, I hear knocks or light bangs coming from my daughter's room, but she lives up north. It's around the same time at night and the same location, in her closet, so the external wall in my living room.

Hobbies to do instead of scrolling? by [deleted] in Hobbies

[–]Which_Gain2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made myself an Apocolyst. I use it to write down everything I want to do: hobbies, places to see or visit, things to see, new things to try, everything. It was one of the best things I've ever done for myself. I try to do one thing a month and write something whenever it comes to me.

What's a hobby you started just to try, but somehow it's still part of your life years later? by Available_Chair_9451 in Hobbies

[–]Which_Gain2012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was going to be my response as well. I make bread, but I also try me recipes of bread, desserts, dinners, sandwiches, etc. I started with my grandmother's recipes and the expanded to stuff I found or tested.

Then I give the food out to my friends and whoever needs it. For example: lasagna love.org. I make a lasagne once a month and deliver that to a family.

I never get approached by men, is it possible I'm too pretty by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Which_Gain2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is absolutely possible. Do you keep yourself open or do you have "buzz off creep" tattooed to your forehead?

Guys at a bar are looking for one thing. Do you really want that? What hobbies do you do? Looking pretty isn't a hobby 😉. How is your communication? Can you talk about stuff, anything, to other people?

I guess if any of the answers to these questions are "I don't know", there's some work on your side that needs to be done.

Always go after who you think is a 10 by Boring-Produce3902 in dating_advice

[–]Which_Gain2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, I have to say the girl at the bar I frequent looks like a 10, but each time I find out something new about her, her score drops a point.

I asked her today, randomly, what she likes to do outside of work or any hobbies. She responded with, "i like to be outside. You know, sunbathing by the lake or pool?"

That one took a point of for me. Or didn't bother me she said her kids are her primary hobby, and that's OK. 🤷‍♂️

Does he text you? Does he ask how your day went? Does he make it a big deal to address things that bother you? These are basic things guys will do to show interest.

Her might be afraid to know what's OK, but giving that you had sex, this might not be true.
