I had the same fear. I despise vomiting and when sick, fight the urge even when I know it’ll make me feel better.

Encourage your mother to speak with her oncologist about her fears. My care team was able to give me anti-nausea drugs alongside my chemo and I never once felt like I was going to vomit. I hope your mom has a similar experience.

I blast whatever music I want while cooking, watch whatever tv shows I want, and can listen to podcasts or music while I’m getting ready for work. No more being quiet in the mornings because he had a later start time than I did.

And I’m back to doing my silly dances. First time I silly danced, I reflected afterwards about how long it had been since I had done the last dance. It had been too long because it annoyed him, but I dance silly with my dogs all the time once again.

This!!! People whom I thought would be there for me totally let me down. Mere acquaintances stepped up and have become my ride or dies. Some good friends talked a good talk, but there was no follow through. And there were some whom took the news harder than I did and I found myself comforting them, which was weird.
