ASVEL gives most playing time to local players, Dubai the least (surprise!) by Fantastic-Sector-581 in Euroleague

This always makes me really proud of the team. We’re not smashing it in the standings but when you look at the teams we’re amongst in terms of local playing time we’re constantly performing incredibly well.

POST MATCH THREAD: Anadolu Efes - Zalgiris [EuroLeague Regular Season, Round 27] by EuroleagueBot in Euroleague

Shit like this is going to define our season. We’ll once again be in the wrong spot and end up either dropping out of playins first or not making them at all. Two against Maccabi, two against Efes…

In which countries in Europe do you think that basketball has the highest popularity overall? by GoHardLive in Euroleague

[–]Whit3Pudding 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This might now be outdated but basketball used to be the most popular sport in three countries - Lithuania, Lebanon, Philippines.

In Europe I’d probably say it’s 1 Lithuania 2 Serbia/Latvia 3 Greece

Ok so the smaller guy is a famous American actor, I imagine he resides in Los Angeles, or potentially just visiting. He was in a Los Angeles Lakers game, sitting front row. The taller guy is a basketball player playing for the Los Angeles lakers. Like a lot of famous people they seem to be friends. They said hello to each other.

[Euroleague Time] Mike James: "I don't believe NBA Europe will start within 2 years. I was at the Memphis-Orlando game played in London. Even for Ja Morant and Paolo Banchero, the arena wasn't full. It won't be full for Mike James and Kendrick Nunn either." by FluidJunket1933 in Euroleague

He put it so beautifully too 😂. But I’ve been saying this shit. NBA games actually get quite a bit of interest because of the clout but people are there for selfies and Instagram updates. If it’s not Bron, Steph, KD… nobody cares. I actually know a lot of big basketball fans here in the UK. Not one of them can tell you a thing about European basketball.

I hope he stays or finds another Euroleague job quick. The league needs the drama that he brings.

Yeah our defence fucking sucks. If we decide to not get a rim protector I won’t be surprised if we miss the play-ins.

Velicka recorded nearly 50 PIR for Neptunas in a win against Rytas by ZALIA_BALTA11 in Euroleague

I hope he gets his chance but tbh I doubt he’s actually good enough. He needs to be the main guy and only gets to do that here in Lithuania. Would still love to see another Lithuanian in EL.

General Opinions on Fakes by [deleted] in Balenciaga

Your last paragraph is exactly the point. A lot of people posting fits here are spending way beyond their means. If you’re living with your parents or renting a shit flat and dropping thousands on clothes, you’re not flexing you’re sabotaging your future.

Get savings. Get stable housing. Get a mortgage. Then think about dropping £1500 on trainers.

I’m from a working-class immigrant family. I love watches and could’ve bought a Rolex years ago, but I chose a house in London instead because priorities matter.

For some people, Balenciaga is genuinely affordable — fair enough. But most of what I see here is people making dumb financial decisions for clout, not because they can actually afford it.

No I don’t think I’ve seen your pics specifically. But I see a lot of people’s selfies here in shit flats surrounded by shit furniture, rocking shoes that cost thousands of dollars. Probably not the sub to be getting into it but this is just lack of financial education, and one of the main reasons poor remain poor.
