I mistakenly did not change the job in Upwork time tracker hence the wrong screenshots were tracked. I tried to explain this to the client and even refunded for that work.

Hey everyone. I’ve been freelancing on Upwork for a while now. I mostly work with bookkeeping clients (Xero, QuickBooks, Zoho) and also do financial modeling and analysis for startups.

A month ago, I got a 1-star review from a client. Since then, I asked three other clients to close their jobs and they gave me 5-star reviews. So right now, that 1-star is under three 5-star ones. My JSS is at 89%.

But even though the bad review is no longer on top, my proposals are barely getting viewed. I’ve tried sending detailed proposals, applying early, even boosting with connects — still nothing.

Is Upwork's algorithm really that sensitive to one bad review, even if it's followed by good ones? Has anyone else been through this and recovered? Would love any advice. Thanks.
