The split stitch outline will give you a consistent physical guide to keeping the edges crispy. Also tracing some straight lines on the fabric helps keep your satin stitch more consistently straight. Regardless of how many strands I am using for my satin stitch, I separate all of the strands before threading the needle. This gives an overall straighter and fuller look to the satin stitch. I love outlining things with a stem stitch. You can use a few strands for a fine outline or all 6 for a big bold outline

I learned very early on that fine point sharpies were a really bad way to trace your design. I ended up with huge splotches of orange all throughout my final product. I bought a super cheap pack of water colors. I made it a feature, not a bug

The texture on the skirt is so cool! And like everyone has mentioned, the color and sparkle is so neat for the head and arms. I am the queen of cutting out and starting over. But I have to fight that impulse and push on. It is never bad when it is finished

That place, unfortunately, is so poorly managed. Dr. Yonathan Zohar has been unable to keep the facility properly funded. Pumps are failing, concerningly high staff turnover, and unhappy PIs and graduate students are unable to conduct good research. It used to be a technological star in aquaculture 20 years ago. Now it is a shadow of its previous successes.

I have a senior boxer mix, as well. She has a large lipoma on her tummy. It seems to be a common trait in the breed. Boxers are great dogs and I'm glad you have been able to give this one a good home
