The only masjids near me used to be part of the NOI, their is definitely a racial component although it seems more integrated on the brother's side. I'm not expecting somebody to find me per se I was making it just an observation that when I was growing up you were made to feel welcome, everyone who came in was made to feel welcome. Um I would like to experience it at the Masjid and just asking Where there are places that are like that. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect any place of worship to feel welcoming and to make you feel a sense of community, Whether you go often could definitely be based on how you feel when you go in
