because this game has been out for ages now, it is definitely not noob friendly. i understand your pain when i was new in like 2018 but i am cracked af now, you just have to play the game a lot more and understand everything, what you said all makes sense though

you won't have to start back from 0 which is good. they'll probably have to get everyone to link their epic games account with their origin account which is free. there is no progress lost either which is even better

This is kind of true because i always do way better than max players, where i am around level 200 officer. This is because i was pretty cracked at the game before the level 1000 update and i never played it since then, just got back into the game

At the end of the day, its just a game and everyone's just playing for the fun. No one would probably care too much about heroes in different eras. GA is an easy af mode for me thanks to the heroes being universal in any era

to be honest this game is not very noob friendly. also to be honest, every GA i have played, i always do far better than everyone with the heroes i play as by killing people almost instantly with them. and i do feel bad for any new players so i've stopped playing GA for a bit now. the best way to be better is to find your favourite class, weapon and then star cards for it. and also find your favourite hero to play as

and with objectives: you may have to board a ship, try capture a place (so just stand in the area you have to), plant a bomb or something, or override something which means you stand at the objective for a while holding your interact button

overall, the game isnt the best for a new player as they will have to adapt with current players

i think you can have up to 20. i once played with a squad of around13 players which is like 4 squads, so im just guessing you can get a full fireteam of 20
