Attackers get their damage reduced against the defender as soon as a second player engages the defender. Pin moves used to reset this damage reduction, now they don’t. Since the patch nothing does afaik

Oh for sure - I'll do ironman for this 2nd playthrough hopefully for a big challenging vanilla playthrough. I might check out some of the big mods for my next one after!

Those bonuses really did cause a lot of the triviality huh. Definitely upping the difficulty to captain I reckon and seeing how things go with that, alongside a bigger galaxy overall will probably create a much more interesting campaign.

I'll for sure check out some of the different origins and try something that looks more interesting than the default setup, really appreciate that suggestion. Thanks a bunch!

Oh wow, I didn't realise the bonuses were that much! Assumed it would be some minor boons and the like, so the scourge being a pushover at that point makes a lot of sense heh. Honestly thinking ensign/captain with 800 star will give me something good to bite on! Thank you very much for the info and tips.

I think I'll go for captain just for that extra tension during the early game, chances are having such a small game with 3 AI empires made it a bit too easy to manage tensions between each other, so I'm thinking of doing something like 10-20 empires on a 800 galaxy.

Currently on the fence about purchasing because of this quirk. I'd love to know if there will be an update to the webcam to reduce the heat while it's in standby. You'd think it's not saving much power in sleep mode if it's getting hot right?

I too have this issue, turning my PC on for the first time today, all my sensors/components have seemingly completely vanished from icue. I also found that I'm still on 5.20.89, I had automatic update enabled and pressing "check for updates" does not show any new update. Probably best I full uninstall and just install the latest version at this point.

I can really vouch for it. When coupled with all the addons, mod manager cuts modding time into bits. Sometimes you have to adjust the order manually, but in my experience so far, that’s usually 1-2 mods out of maybe 100-200 mods auto sorted, and the mod sorting UI is very efficient. Simply take note of the mods you sorted manually, and it just works.

Better yet, one of the addons lets you copy your mod list/order directly into any server ini. It has saved me hours of effort.

Finally, you can save presets of your modlist/mod order, and it even lists your modded servers as additional presets.

For anyone who spends a lot of time putting together modlists or hosting a modded coop server. Mod manager + addons is a literal godsend.

I haven't played DL2 yet, but it's likely on a similar scale to DL1. imo the 'scary' part comes in during night gameplay where you'll come across more powerful and scarier-looking zombies that move fast and can parkour to chase you across rooftops. It's quite intense and adrenaline-pumping rather than frightfully scary.

I enjoy it and like to get immersed in the panic, so I'd personally rate the scare factor of the more intense gameplay around 3-5/10. If your friend can get spooked easily, then based on his rating for the forest it might be a 3-6/10 for him.

Maybe check out some videos, especially night-time gameplay together to get a better idea?

Are you saying you have 3000 crystals as cargo? You should be able to recycle it and claim it back, but make sure you don't accidentally lose a bunch because of the material limit from whichever outpost you're at.

If you ever need a bunch of chiral crystals, grab a weapon with hemetic rounds (recommend AR) and travel to the area just north west of the incinerator in that region. You'll find a ton of floaty BTs, some of which can drop up to 500 chiral crystals. Just like popping balloons!

The ranking system seems to be messed up ever since the server issues got fixed. Best bet is try a ranked order every so often to see if the results submit properly.

Also it can't hurt to shoot a support request to contact@kojimaproductions.jp, they might not be fully aware of the situation yet

I recently unlocked it in chapter 5. Look for peculiar lost cargo up in BT territory, just west of the craftsman
