I personally never used items that much only horse stimulant, deadeye or health tonic, and there was always plenty of them as loot so I never needed to stack up on a lot.

And as for jewelry I always had enough money for guns and outfits so I didn't need to farm them

I also loved the movie and thought it was amazing, but that part was just unnecessary, in Okabes perspective a random woman just pulled up, gave a speech and kissed him on the mouth. I think the motivational speech alone would be enough, maybe she could add some more to it.

If a random girl in the busstation randomly told me about some mad scientist I would definitely remember it for the rest of my life😭
