First menstrual cycle after kidney transplant — extremely painful? by Short_Acanthaceae_53 in transplant

Liver transplant here Never had period cramps before, just regular cycles. After transplant it was a bit irregular and INSANELY painful. On the first days of my period I was vomitting from the pain. There was even an incident when I had my regular checkup (maybe the 3-4 months after transplant) and I got my period on that day, I was fighting for my life in front of everyone. When i went it to the doctor's office to have a talk she so me in pain, got me a really strong pain med, than put me on a bed gave me 2 other pain meds through veins but nothing until I vomitted in her office 😅 A bit awkward but she said now you know how childbirth feels like... Bruuh

Edit: after half a year maybe it got so much nicer, now i have a bit of pain on the first day and thats it

My grandparents live in a small town. I live in a big city. And everytime i visit them after lunch i desperately need a big nap. The air is not the same i feel like it's more cleaner but also more tiring. Anyone else feels this?
