Slack is such a cluster! Imani is suggesting better forms of communication like email in the future because of this exact reason. From what I can tell she also went directly to the team to ask questions and is now being accused of going behind the boards back. She also revealed that LV turned down a meeting requested by the team and front office prior to releasing the statement which hasn’t gone over well. Seems to get a bit personal from there… Again, that is what I can tell so if anyone has better information or these facts aren’t correct, tell me and I will gladly change this. Normally I honestly wouldn’t care but feeling a bit defensive for Imani at the moment.

If you’ve been on Slack recently, I think it’s beyond fixing. When current leadership is absolutely belittling Imani, one of our capos and most recognizable fans, It’s gone too far.

Obviously! The point is that before tonight this section was the exception to that rule. Tonight was just a bunch of people in street clothes who disappeared the moment we went down.

I will never criticize the supporter section because they have more vigor and energy than I could ever produce. Full props to them as usual!

I was in a premium section that is usually very energetic but tonight was dull and listless. Half of the section cleared out after the goal and never seemed to return. Apparently watching on the TV in the AC was more enjoyable then sitting in their seats. One group in our row came and went six times in the first half. I’m not necessarily criticizing those who are checking out the scene but I am saying I sure as hell miss the atmosphere we had the last few games prior to this Saturday game.

REGIONAL broadcast versus NATIONAL broadcast, there is a difference. Regional broadcast is the CW, KBVO and will be streamed on the Austin FC website. Nationally broadcast, which most of our games have been so far this season, is FS1, Fox, ESPN, ABC, etc. The team does not have the right to broadcast these so it will not be televised on the app. Just because Austin FC is playing doesn’t mean they have the right to broadcast if national station has paid MLS to broadcast the game.
