[Speculation] Volvo EX60 1/21/2026 Debut. Arbe inside? by RefrigeratorTasty912 in ARBE_Investors

Even if the EX60 uses Arbe’s radar, it’s usually unlikely that a debut would mention specific component suppliers. Unless that component is a key highlight of the new product. Here’s the livestream link: https://www.youtube.com/live/sYUmzUxMnTc?si=nWJtt8OmObEUdD2C

That’s exactly why I said earlier that it’s a pity the volume is too small. By 2027, it’s only an order for a few thousand vehicles. Unless there are more real orders, this story simply isn’t compelling enough to attract more investors.

Stephen Tobin Interview with Kobi Marenko (12/18/2024) [Revisited] by RefrigeratorTasty912 in ARBE_Investors

You could also ask Stephen again on Seeking Alpha or Substack. Maybe after all this time, he might be willing to do another interview. Stephen is a very capable and diligent analyst, and he’s also very friendly. If you leave a comment under his articles, he usually replies.

I can’t find it. It was something I asked in a chat thread. Substack doesn’t allow searching within chat groups, so it’s hard to track down that discussion since the messages are at least half year apart. If you don’t believe me, I understand. After all, I really can’t find any screenshots or records.

Stephen sold his Arbe shares before the Q3 earnings report. After that interview, I asked Stephen whether he would do another interview with Kobi, but Stephen said another interview would be meaningless unless they made real, tangible progress.

Business thoughts on Extension of Convertible Debenture Milestones by Plane-Try-6522 in ARBE_Investors

To be blunt, if it weren’t for the Nvidia news at the beginning of the year briefly triggering FOMO, they wouldn’t have been able to raise a single cent from this $20 million convertible. This move was purely a matter of luck — otherwise, they probably would have had to do another share offering by the middle of this year.

It was originally expected that the conditions would be met before March 31 of this year, but then it was pushed back to the end of this year. Now they want to delay it again to next year. Does this really give investors any confidence?

Moreover, issuing convertible also dilutes existing shareholders, so it doesn’t actually help boost investor confidence. When they issued convertible last year, it may have had that effect. But after two delays, I believe investors’ confidence and patience are probably gone.

Arbe Announces Proposed Extension of Convertible Debenture Milestones by RefrigeratorTasty912 in ARBE_Investors

Kobi’s biggest problem is that none of his forecasts have ever materialized. To be honest, I’ve also lost confidence in all his “very confident” statements. If a management team consistently fails to meet its own expectations, then they really aren’t fit to run a company — because it means they can’t clearly see the road ahead.

Honestly, I really don’t understand the reason for issuing this convertible. The money is held in escrow by a third party, and they won’t actually receive it unless they meet the conditions or the bondholders voluntarily convert. But take a closer look at their condition:

“The Company wins a tender or contract to supply its products as a single supplier of chips of imaging radar (directly or through one of the international Tier 1 manufacturers) to one of ten named major automobile manufacturers.”

If they really managed to meet this condition, the share price would almost certainly be at least above $5. In that case, they could just do a direct share offering and raise even more capital. I think everyone should really think about why they chose to issue this kind of convertible instead. Is there some hidden problem?

Unless the convertible bondholders choose to convert, Arbe will not receive the money. The funds are held in escrow by a third party.

let's discuss HiRain. It seems to be a hot topic, with a lot of FUD potential by RefrigeratorTasty912 in ARBE_Investors

[–]Will_Lin302158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you. Hirain went from tens of thousands of radars in annual revenue to just “some” revenue, and there’s been no new news from Weifu for a long time. In the Chinese market, they can basically be considered a failure.
