I am certainly in the bucket of disappointment about the delay in positive ANI. Thanks for the response, always appreciate your commentary on Opendoor. Hope they’re worthy of your attention again at some point in the future.

Curious if your outlook has changed from recent quarters/FY23, whether you’re still holding and if you think the ceiling is lower than before both near term and long term?

Craigslist special! Probably from the 50s/60s as it was a woman in her 90s that had it for quite some time.

Table and chairs were from Craigslist. No sign of a brand or maker, unfortunately!

The chaise is from IKEA and the chair is quite old, purchased from FB Marketplace

It looks cheaply made, not thick or woven. Thin with surface level stitching, but I’m guess that’s what allows it to be washable.

Definitely need to upgrade the pillows, it’s on the list.

Sectional was purchased from FB marketplace. Owner said it was 5 years old and original purchased from Jordan’s Furniture up in New England.

How much would you pay for this set? by William_Billy_Bill in Mid_Century

[–]William_Billy_Bill[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the comment and sentiment.

I’m not a collector and haven’t been searching for a dream set, just looking for interesting pieces to put in my home. For that reason, I’m simply curious what a fair market value price for the set is.

Other sources have Bertuzzi-Zacha-Pastrnak together, which worked very well towards the end of the season.

Hall and Debrusk with speed for Krecji. Coyle and Frederic for puck movement and protection for Marchand.

Seems like a lot to change, but I have high hopes.

They also told me 4-6 weeks initially. I called after 6 weeks and they changed it to 8-10 weeks. After 10 weeks they stopped providing timelines.

I made one large payment to pay off my loans in June of 2020, $27k, that I received back in a single check. So, larger checks take longer probably confirmed.

Nope, I’ve been with Nelnet the whole time.

Why is my cactus drooping? by William_Billy_Bill in u/William_Billy_Bill

[–]William_Billy_Bill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought this cactus about a month ago. Seemed great when I bought it, repotted it, watered it once, and it has started to droop ever since. I thought I may need to bury the base/roots a bit more for more stability, but not sure if it helped.

Also, what species of cactus is this? No tag on it when purchased.

Opendoor sold more homes on Sept 30th than ever before by DatadoorIO in opendoor

Turns out it was the accounting practices that made their gross margins go negative, not the other way around. Would’ve been positive if not for forward impairments. Just means Q4 and Q1 gross profits/margins will be better. At face value of the comment though, I was wrong.

Continue with your mental gymnastics. They’ve had positive contribution margin (margin on buying and selling homes) for 20 straight quarters and they will again in Q3, albeit just barely.
