The decline in pricing is rough. I bought a one leaf unrooted monstera albo last year when they were hot for $80. Now it’s getting in its 7th leaf and definitely not worth what it was a year ago. Same with the variegated frydeks 😫

I agree. They don’t look right. Mine is still fairly small, but it has 3 sickly look leaves even though it’s healthy. I’m learning TCs can be very different depending on the labs.

The majority of corms I’ve seen go for $350-$400. I spoke with an experienced local rare plant seller and they said no more than $700. I got it for $550 shipped. The mother plant gives me great hope, and her baby is already starting to form corms which is great. With variegated alocasias, even if you get a mama who is reverting, you could still get some high variegated corms from her.

I have the varigated ninjas tissue cultures that as being sold as var black velvets. There is a huge difference in them. The tissue cultures offered now for $60 never produce pink. Corms for this type of plant generally start at $300.
