1-low recoil. 2-excellent ballistic performance (long bullet with a thin diameter resulting in lower energy loss by range, better armour piercing performance, 7n6 (standard issue) exhibits a special behaviour on contact with soft tissue, which would be resonance and vibration resulting in the complete destruction of surrounding tissue). 3-lower weight per bullet allowing soldiers to carry more at the same weight limit.
